Job Description

The Office of Information Technologies (OIT) at the University of Notre Dame is hiring an Application Development Specialist to understand our campus partners opportunities/challenges and design/create/implement IT solutions to address those needs. The ideal candidate will collaborate with our campus partners to analyze business objectives, gather business requirements and recommend/implement business processes/technical solutions that provide the best return on investment to the organization.

The Application Development Specialist position is aligned to Enterprise Application Services, supporting our Employee/Finance team. The role will support existing applications and interfaces, the development of integrations, and custom development.

Minimum Qualifications
We are looking for an amazing person with:

  • Experience evaluating, developing and implementing IT solutions
  • Experience designing and developing integrations to transfer data between various systems
  • Great attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Outstanding writing and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to learn and use new technology tools
Preferred Qualifications
Valued skills and experiences may also include:

  • Either an associates/bachelors degree or experience as an application developer
  • Experience providing technical support for a variety of applications to address issues from end-users
  • Proficiency in use of integration (API) development technologies (PL/SQL, Ruby, Talend, etc.)
  • Fullstack development experience
