AWS Professional Services (ProServe) engages in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners, providing collective AWS customer experience, best practices, and obsessing about strong success for the customer. Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product, service, and training teams, to deliver the right solutions and drive feature innovations for our customers across all industries.


AWS Prescriptive Guidance (APG) and ProServe Knowledge Management (KM) drive global programs that support AWS Professional Services to collect, publish, and reuse content via publications to help customers accelerate cloud adoption with confidence. You will coordinate with APG team, internal stakeholders and global ProServe to drive and improve programs that constantly engage knowledge creators and knowledge seekers. By assisting in setting annual ProServe publication performance targets, you will govern programs that drive teams toward goal accomplishment. You will partner with the KM program engagement manager to develop and deliver training programs and materials for internal and external audiences. You will help coordinate training programs to promote asset creation and reuse methodologies and approaches throughout all levels within ProServe. To guide publication creation throughput, you will help recruit, train, and maintain peer reviewers and subject matter experts. You will assist in developing external and internal communities of practice.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Training and KM. The person will show serious customer obsession and have broad experience working on global, cross-functional programs with team leadership. This person also has excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated leadership in delivering business results while working in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work within APG team, coordinating with internal stakeholder, ProServe, and Solution Architects (SAs) and other communities to manage overall program goals and mechanisms to accelerate content throughput.
  • Partner with Content Acquisition Lead, APG Product Manager, Editorial, KM, and Engineering teams to ensure the right mechanisms are in place for accelerated content throughput.
  • Work backwards from customers and evaluate captured feedback for enhanced customer experience and usability.
  • Establish and enforce program management best practices.
  • Build training materials and develop programs/best practices to increase APG adoption.
  • Help streamline and/or eliminate excess process.
  • Write effective narratives and present them effectively to senior leadership.
DELIVERY
  • Present and lead conversations about APG based on feedback from customers.
  • Deploy metrics to track progress against program metrics and define annual goals.
  • Enlist individuals contributors and leaders to ensure mechanisms scale (or will scale).
  • Assist in building communities of practice to build quality content pipeline in APG.
ALIGNMENT
  • Assist in creating plans that have clear and measurable success criteria.
  • Assist in managing program updates, risks and escalations in APG program, aligning and influencing stakeholders within ProServe.
  • Find and analyze data and propose actionable insights to help prescriptive guidance team make customer-focused decisions.
  • Assist in building and maintaining documentation deliverables, and communication materials for APG and KM programs.
COLLABORATION
  • Gain support for recommended programs using strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholder at all levels to gather requirements and feedback, define objectives & deliver result.
  • Partner with your program sponsors to define program strategy and key performance indicators.

Our Consultants work with enterprise customers locally, regionally and potentially domestically. As such, Consultants will be required to travel to client locations to sell and deliver professional services as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years experience in program or project management
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline or 7+ years of professional or military experience
  • 3+ years of OCM, training, and KM in large or global programs.
  • 3+ years€™ experience of managing projects in-parallel across a complex program.
  • 3+ years of program management skills with experience in influencing others outside of direct line of reporting, and advocating on behalf of the customer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in solving complex, quantitative business challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience in presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences including senior executives
  • Master€™s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Must be able to think creatively, deal with ambiguity, and manage changing priorities
  • Bias for action and experience making things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Attention to detail and end-to-end ownership
  • Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to establish credibility and work with key internal partners to get things done
  • Experience presenting to and interacting with senior leaders
