APAC Executive Search & Intelligence Senior Researcher - AVP

**Job Background/Context:**

This role is part of the ongoing Talent Acquisition (TA) transformation and optimisation in Asia Pacific which includes the build out of an executive search recruitment function to more effectively facilitate the success of Citis talent strategy. The position supports the identification, assessment and acquisition of executive talent across Asia Pacific at Citi.

The successful candidate will report to the Regional TA Lead for Executive Recruitment and work with the Executive Recruitment Partners to help shape how it manages and influences resourcing strategy for senior hiring particularly against critical talent priorities such as identifying diverse and inclusive leadership, and succession planning. Based in Mumbai the role involves direct execution of executive candidate sourcing and the provision of market intelligence data to support critical talent decisions and the delivery of high quality recruitment services to Citi business leaders across Asia Pacific.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Collaborate with the Executive Search & Intelligence Partners to build trusted relationships with Executive Hiring Managers and HR Advisors to understand specific position requirements with a focus on the knowledge, skills & leadership abilities required

+ Support tactical recruitment activity by identifying pools of internal and external talent primarily at Director (C15) and Managing Director (C16) levels, using advanced market mapping and competitor intelligence gathering techniques, to be considered for active executive talent positions. Provide research support for other grades depending on capacity.

+ Strategically support future executive talent succession needs by building and maintaining maps and data of passive candidates in priority disciplines and markets for medium to long term engagement on future Citi employment opportunities

+ Conduct outreach and effective screening of prospective candidates in line with the talent brief, company standards and regulatory requirements to assist with assessment for current and future positions

+ Research and summarize high quality market intelligence reports to provide insights on the competitor landscape that assist data driven talent decisions by senior business leaders (e.g. competitor organizational structures and executive role scopes, diversity maps, compensation and benefits data, market trends etc.)

+ Build and maintain accurate market and target candidate information in Citis CRM system (Avature) through a consistent communication strategy with a pipelined network of prospects

+ Work to meet an agreed set of key performance indicators tied to the speed, accuracy and success of the Executive Search and Intelligence function to demonstrate clear ROI and value that the team can provide to secure high quality executive talent for the franchise

+ Be an active member of the talent acquisition research community across Asia, EMEA and The Americas at Citi by sharing market information and sourcing best practice and innovation to help develop the intelligence capability across the franchise

+ Lead and participate in regional and global continuous improvement initiatives as required related to Executive and lateral recruitment to support the ongoing transformation of the TA function in Asia

**Knowledge / Experience:**

+ Circa 5+ years of experience in executive level talent research and sourcing gained through the executive search industry and/or in-house executive recruitment research roles. Prior financial services market knowledge will be an advantage, as will a knowledge of the dynamic of Asian markets

+ Deep market research expertise, coupled with knowledge of executive sourcing practices, to leverage multiple sourcing channels to gather market data and identify appropriate passive talent e.g. social media platforms, advanced candidate search engines, crafting Boolean Search strings, financial market data platforms etc.

+ Clearly organized with the ability to manage multiple complex international sourcing and research assignments to agreed deadlines with speed and efficiency while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy

+ Is familiar with HR databases and Applicant Tracking Systems/Candidate Management Systems, and appreciates the importance of the depth and quality of data required to be stored on them to be effective tools

+ Clear verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to understand complex talent requirements and the confidence to articulate these to target candidates

+ Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills with the ability to create detailed candidate and market intelligence reports, and competitor organisational charts


Preferably educated to degree level but not essential if balanced with relevant experience
