Americas Sales Strategy, Operations & Enablement (SSOE) is a diverse team that supports the Sales, Demand Generation, Inside Sales, Solution Architects, and Business Development teams across Canada, the US and LATAM to enable AWS teams to better serve our customers in their journey to the cloud.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Productivity and Readiness (Enablement) Leader to lead a team of senior Technical Sales Productivity & Readiness Leads and partner with Solution Architect Leader(s) across the Americas to define, land and execute against our Enablement strategic priorities. This role is responsible for ensuring high productivity of our Solution Architects and other technical sales professionals from the initial onboarding through to continuous €œever-boarding€ across our portfolio of offerings and solutions. The Sales Enablement team is responsible for ensuring the field sales organization is well-equipped with the content, training, knowledge of available resources, and core curriculum necessary to effectively sell AWS€™s current and new service offerings. The successful candidate will combine a solid understanding of sales and marketing dynamics with the ability to map field requirements and corporate resources into a comprehensive sales enablement plan. This individual will work very closely with technical sales leaders for each area. The ideal candidate would have several years in Technical Sales Training and/or Technical Sales Enablement and have strong written and verbal communication skills.

This position will work with the several stakeholders supporting the extended AWS Americas Sales organization, such as Solution Architects, Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Professional Services, and the Partner team. The individual must have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple technical and non-technical business units, as well as across other geographies. This is a hands-on position - the ideal candidate must be willing to €œroll up the sleeves€ and get things done.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Lead a team of Technical Sales Enablement Specialists to define and land the Americas Sales Enablement strategy
· Perform detailed needs assessments in coordination with the Solution Architect Leadership, Sales Leadership, Marketing, Services, Business Development, Professional Services, Partner team and Operations. Translate business needs into a technical sales enablement plan for each sales leader.
· Create, develop, manage, and lead the successful execution of the cross-functional technical sales enablement programs in conjunction with Solution Architect Leadership, Sales Leadership, Product Management, Field Marketing, and HR.
· Plan and participate in Train-the-trainer training activities, including but not limited to: new hire training and on-boarding, weekly sales training, sales skills and tools training.
· Assist in the development of the master plan and calendar for technical sales enablement activities throughout the year.
· Develop and maintain an effective governance process focused on providing timely and targeted content for sales enablement and continuously improving the field knowledge transfer and learning needs.
· Design and implement metrics to measure training programs and impact, effectiveness, appropriateness, and utility. Measure and report on the effectiveness of sales enablement investments.
· Review and manage the existing content library to determine opportunities to improve the learning experience, ensure the content is current and relevant and best technology is employed.


To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with:
· Minimum 8+ years of Sales Enablement leadership, Field Sales training or Sales Enablement experience with increasing influence and responsibility.


Preferred qualifications
· Strategic thinker that can take broad visions and concepts and develop structured plans, actions and measureable metrics and then execute those plans.
· Experience in building enablement for technical sales roles, or prior experience in a technical sales role
· Experience in developing and managing Sales competency models and Learning paths for sales roles.
· Excellent communications skills including, presenting, editing, and writing as well as accuracy and attention to detail required.
· Proven excellent program management and project management skills
· Proven ability to lead and manage at senior levels without direct authority
· A fast-thinking, high-energy individual with a sense of humor and ability to work with a wide range of personalities will thrive in this role
· Experience with AWS technology
· Knowledge of maintaining curriculum in Learning Management System
· Bachelor€™s degree
· Proven experience designing and implementing a Sales Methodology training.
· Meets/exceeds Amazon€™s leadership principles requirements for this role
· Meets/exceeds Amazon€™s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
