Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I, Electrician for AH-64 Reset at our Fort Campbell, KY location.


  • Perform installation of electrical system components including such systems as flight, navigation, instrumentation, etc.

  • Safely prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks and services.

  • Perform scheduled inspections and assists in performing special inspections.

  • Perform maintenance operational checks on aircraft electrical and navigation systems using special tools and test equipment as required.

  • Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as aircraft Technical Manuals, Maintenance Information and Action Messages and all technical guidance provided through government official representatives.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.

  • 5 years Aviation experience required on AH-64D/E.

  • Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component and electrical troubleshooting, repair procedures, and replacement of parts.

  • Must have basic knowledge of electrical theory and ability to read/comprehend wiring schematics used in troubleshooting system errors.

  • Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools, such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, volt-ohm meters, crimp dies, and test sets.

  • Must have a working knowledge of technical publications and the Army's Aviation Logistics Information System, ULLS-A (E).

  • Understanding of Reset schedules and timelines is a plus.

  • Able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

High school graduate or equivalent is desirable. Five (5) years actual and recent experience on H-64 series helicopter; three (3) years required. Thorough knowledge of technical publications related aviation maintenance. Must have knowledge of the scope and limitation of various categories of maintenance and their application to the contract unit. Must know theory and principles of engine operations; accessories and components; electrical and electronic; pneudraulic; and mechanical principles. Knowledge of sheet metal, properties of materials, fuels, and oils. Must be able to read, interpret and use manufacturers maintenance manuals, service bulletins, blueprints, wiring and schematic diagrams, data tables and other specifications to determine feasibility and method to repair or replace malfunctioning or damaged components. Must be able to inspect, repair, and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment. Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.
