Position Description 

Focused on providing customer solutions in a fast-paced environment, this position performs the functional and system level test verification function of Honeywell€™s customized integrated voice solutions and mobility software. The candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of detailed tests. The candidate will also be required to define and/or develop test software and scripts to perform these tests. The position requires the candidate to interface cross-functionally with other departments. The position requires effective communication skills (especially written) and good problem solving skills. The position requires the candidate to be results oriented with the resolve for a high degree of quality. Some travel may be required. 

Position Responsibilities 

€¢ Design, develop & execute tests (manual and automated) to ensure product verification & specification compliance. 

€¢ Perform functional, integration, and system level testing to simulate customer use of Honeywell integrated voice solution and mobility software solutions. 

€¢ Review specification documents, change requests or statements of work to prepare test documentation and work effort estimates. 

€¢ Participate in documentation & requirement reviews for completeness & accuracy. 

€¢ Timely completion of verification efforts within defined schedule. 

€¢ Generate defect reports when test specification is not achieved. 

€¢ Create release media for distribution. 

€¢ Provide engineering support to internal and external customers. 

€¢ Effectively communicate issues cross-functionally and with project management. 

€¢ Participate in the improvement of EVT processes. 

€¢ Coordinate EVT test lab activities, equipment and tools.

MUST HAVE

BS or MS degree in a technical discipline. Additional classroom or professional development considered a plus. 

Seeking 5+ years professional experience that includes a background in software testing, development and/or hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting complex custom solutions.

Expertise in one or more of the following technical areas (the more, the better): 

€¢ Experience testing Android applications and various Android OS versions, iOS mobile platform testing is a plus. 

€¢ Exposure to C# and Visual Studio/Xamarin based cross platform application development and testing is also beneficial.

€¢ Exposure to SAP and other Warehouse database systems like Microsoft Dynamics 365.

€¢ Automation test script design and development, using Python, Perl or Java.

€¢ Developing quality plans, software test plans and procedures from requirements documentation. 

€¢ Database driven client-server systems and database design (including SQL). 

€¢ Performance and/or functional test tools and scripting languages. 

€¢ Development and/or test tools (static or dynamic) preferred. 

€¢ Implementing software engineering methodologies or process improvement initiatives. 

€¢ Experience with voice solution products or related technologies are a plus. 

€¢ Knowledge of TCP/IP, RF (wireless) & LAN networking protocols is preferred.

€¢ Knowledge of Agile Software Development processes.

€¢ Experience with Acceptance Test Driven Development or Behavior Driven Development techniques.
