SUMMARY:

The Director of Diversity, Engagement and Inclusion (DE+I) will be a facilitator and presenter, comfortable with speaking to various stakeholders from leaders to colleagues. Build a comprehensive diversity and inclusion strategy. Launch and facilitate initiatives, and learning engagements across the organization in line with our strategy. Pair business acumen, perspective, integrity and trust to ensure all voices are heard within the organization for the utmost inclusion and diversity of thought. Implement inclusion programs not only across North America but will use their perspective to implement inclusion practices while being mindful of all cultures, colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the implementation of new/revised practices, policies or procedures in line with our strategy
  • Monitors progress and adjust course over time based on data-driven findings on an ongoing basis
  • Creates and works to enhance staff DE+I accountability through collaboration and enhancing people practices (i.e. hiring, onboarding, performance management)
  • Prepares and conducts Client and Colleague DE+I presentations, focus groups and facilitated sessions
  • Understands and anticipates the various business needs, develop clear scopes of work and project plans, and lead cross-functional teams in executing priorities based on needs from org-wide DE+I councils.
  • Owns the launch and development of the TAG NAM DE+I launch.
  • Works with the Global DE+I team to align strategic priorities to our global agenda and represent NAM in the global DE+I community.
  • Leverages data from our Peakon D&I engagement survey to support and drive local initiatives and decision making.
  • Leads and participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree in human resources, business management or a related discipline with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience building inclusion programs.
  • Experience running interactive virtual trainings on diversity and inclusion for all levels within an organization is required.

  • High analytical skills and data literacy (strong reasoning and strategic thinking skills; ability to analyze data to draw accurate conclusions that inform strategy).
  • Exceptional reliability and integrity and ability to responsibly handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, business acumen, project and employee management skills, organizational skills and the interpersonal skills necessary to operate in a team environment required.
  • Expert with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
