We are the DevOps team responsible for RDS products for Amazon Dedicated Clouds. Our Amazon Web Services teams are innovating new ways of building massively scalable distributed systems and delivering the next generation of cloud computing. RDS is a collection of managed services that makes it simple to set up, operate, and scale databases in the cloud. with offerings like Amazon Aurora with MySQL compatibility, Amazon Aurora with PostgreSQL compatibility, MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server

Denver, CO: The total compensation minimum for this role is: $ 229,400. Total compensation includes base pay, and may include a sign-on bonus and restricted stock units as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or -Engineering, other related fields, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of professional operations, help desk, or systems engineering experience
  • 1+ years of experience managing operations or systems engineering teams
  • 2+ years of experience working with engineering teams to debug and deliver software requiring coordination between multiple teams in disperse functional groups
  • This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Success operating and maintaining products/services in a high-growth environment, exhibiting strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous customer-focused problems
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and perceptions
  • Experience with Analytics or Database technologies
  • High attention to detail with proven ability to juggle multiple, conflicting priorities simultaneously and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent written, spoken, and listening communication skills
