The Team

SP are currently recruiting for an experienced Account Manager to move into Ciscos Service Provider Business Unit. This is an exciting space for Cisco and the successful candidate will have the responsibility for leading the engagement with key named accounts including Superloop, Megaport and a small number of Tier 2 challenger operators.

 

 

Role & Responsibilities

 

Building relationships within all layers of key Service Providers

A strong understanding of Ciscos relevance and strategies around this go-to-market (SP as aChannel)

Actively creating new business opportunities

Dealing within a competitive market including success with large/complex competitive displacement deals

Creating and driving comprehensive account strategies

Demonstrating a complete approach to business operations (forecast, weekly commit, pipeline development)

Displaying leadership through sharing of knowledge/skills and act as a source of expertise for others.

Partnering effectively with internal and external parties to build solutions

Ability to build CXO level stakeholder relationships

Likely option to cover key Service Provider customers within Australia including VHA, Vocus amongst others.

 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

5+ years account management experience;

Must have experience handling multi-million dollar quota and a global account ideally;

Ability to lead virtual sales team to meet agreed targets, develops sales plans for specific accounts in line with company strategy;

Strong selling skills in large accounts as well as sound knowledge and experience in selling complex SP & IT solutions & services;

Must be a self-starter and strong closer, with multi-tasking ability;

Understanding of large business organizations and their buying cycles;

Demonstrated experience with challenger selling;

Engage at senior / CXO Level with demomsntrated experience of bringing the full power of Cisco in support of the customers outcome

The ability to build natural momentum within incumbent accounts while succeed in displacing competitors in historically ABC Accounts or Spaces

Growing an established Cisco install base

Strong relationship management skills

Excellent communication/presentation/negotiation skills

Working knowledge of product & solutions

Proven leader in a matrix management environment

Superior oral presentation skills

Ability to work under pressure in a results focused environment

Able to relate technical principles in simple terms

Ability to work & relate with business & people at all levels

Requires practical experience using influence management to achieve goals

Must exhibit the ability to think strategically and demonstrate initiative
