Penn Medicine is looking for a Technical Analyst, Associate, Mid or Senior Level!This role requires an overall understanding of device integration and vital signs data from the bedside monitors to the EMRs. Understanding of HL7 protocol, Capsule Technology, GE CPN Connect application, and other HealthCare related applications is desirable. Strong analytical ability, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills are essential. In addition, the following are preferred: ¢\tStrong background in Applications support including an understanding of databases and reporting needs¢\tA strong understanding system/hardware setup and troubleshooting¢\tThis position sometimes require onsite support for systems/applications at the hospital, including the ORs, ICUs and other hospitals departments/units¢\tTeamwork and Collaboration is essential to succeed in this role¢\tParticipate in 7 X 24 on-call rotation supporting diverse healthcare applicationsSupport experience with the following preferred, but not required: ¢\tNihon Kohden¢\tCapsule¢\tPhilips¢\tGE¢\tDrager¢\tMasimo¢\tMedtronic¢\tSpacelabsAssociate Technical Analyst ¢\tResponsibilities include the assisting with the creation and delivery of technical and programming solutions to previously identified needs and business problems under the direction of a senior analyst. Ensure system changes follow change management procedures and protocols. Technical Analyst¢\tStrong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills required ¢\tMigration of data between environments¢\tSystem build, validation and workflow testing¢\tImplementation and activation of new features (hardware and software)¢\tApplication analysis¢\tWorkflow analysis¢\tAccountability, responsibility and ownership in regard to work performed¢\tTeam player Ability to interact with all levels of hospital personnel to include: IT management staff, consulting staff, clinicians, hospital administrators, etc ¢\tMust be able to function as part of a team providing a high level of quality service to clients¢\tMust be able to complete tasks in a self-directed manner once assignedSenior Technical Analyst¢\tResponsibilities include creating and delivering technical resolutions to create workflow, process design and programming solutions to business problems. ¢\tMust have strong analytical, programming and communication skills and be able to balance technical and business objectives to improve quality outcomes.¢\tMust be able to create and implement project plans and routinely communicate status of work. ¢\tAssist in the education & training of new hires and other team members and be available as a resource for the team.

Associate Technical Analyst \n\nDegree Requirements and Minimum Experience Required: \n•\tHigh school diploma or GED required.\n•\tExperience in health care IT preferred.\n•\tMinimum of one (1) year directly related experience required.\n\nSkill Requirements: \n•\tUtilizes industry standard processes to generate specifications for implementation and for specification review process under the direction of a senior analyst.\n•\tKnowledge of hardware configurations, database management tools and query language\n•\tGood communication skills, both written and verbal. \n•\tAbility to troubleshoot, research and solve problems \n•\tDetail oriented, analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills required.\n\nTechnical Analyst\n\nDegree Requirements and Minimum Experience Required: \n•\tBachelor’s degree required. \n•\tCurrent Internal Penn Medicine Information Services division employees may be considered with proof of active and continued enrollment in an approved bachelor degree program. \n•\tMinimum of two (2) years of directly related experience required.\n•\tExperience in health care IT preferred.\n\nSkill Requirements: \n•\tUnderstanding of technical integration technologies/platforms preferred\n•\tProvide technical expertise to ensure that the design, implementation and end results meets business requirements.\n•\tUse Software Development Life cycle (SDLC) to generate specifications for implementation and for the specification review process.\n•\tWork with our internal management and internal/external customers to develop the deployment strategy, plan, and schedule.\n•\tStrong written and oral communication skills.\n•\tKnowledge of healthcare operations and data structures and the use of information system applications in the practicing healthcare and financial environment are preferred. \n\nSenior Technical Analyst\n\nMinimum Certifications, Registry and/or Licenses Required: \n•\tVendor certification preferred\n\nDegree Requirements and Minimum Experience Required \n•\tBachelor’s degree required\n•\tCurrent Internal Penn Medicine Information Services division employees may be considered with proof of active and continued enrollment in an approved bachelor degree program. \n•\tMinimum of three (3) years of directly related experience required.\n•\tExperience in complex technical projects \n•\tExperience in health care IT preferred \n\nSkill Requirements: \n•\tProvide Technical expertise to ensure that the design, implementation and end results meet the business requirements. \n•\tUtilizes industry standard processes to generate specifications for implementation and for specification review process.\n•\tEnsures project scope and design and pragmatic and results orientated technical decisions. \n•\tIdentify problem definitions and make recommendations regarding refinements and decisions, throughout the product life cycle. \n•\tContribute to, and/or own, the development process for the deployment strategy, plan and schedule. \n•\tStrong analytical, problem identification and resolution skills.\n•\tExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal \n•\tKnowledge of healthcare operations, data structure and use of information system applications in the practicing healthcare and financial environment. \n•\tAbility to both recognize project barriers or risks and address them in a timely fashion \n•\tDemonstrated ability to function as part of a team providing a high level of quality service
