The Corporate Director of Regulatory Affairs provides leadership and strategic direction across UPHS in all aspects of continuoussurvey readiness for CMS, TJC, PA & NJ DOH and other accrediting organizations. The Director will work with entity seniorleadership as well as quality and regulatory directors to establish processes that optimize outcomes and minimize citations in acost effective manner. The Director provides oversight to the UPHS Office of Patient Affairs in order to ensure alignment withRisk Management and Patient Experience through adherence to CMS guidelines as well as enhancement of the patientexperience.Accountabilities¢ Develop cost effective approaches to assess regulatory readiness, collaborating with entity operations and quality in thedevelopment of standard processes and procedures.¢ Provide strategic consultation and coordination in the prioritization of major areas of opportunity incorporating bothinternal best practices as well as external regulatory developments.¢ Convene a system wide regulatory forum, regularly seeking feedback and maximizing transparent sharing of efforts andfindings.¢ Support clinical integration across the system by standardizing the writing, review, updating and management of regulatoryrelated policies. Design and implement system-wide policy management system.¢ Serve as a primary point of accountability in working with IT and other core services support departments in assuringregulatory needs are met.¢ Collaborate with entity operations and quality to develop standard processes and procedures related to regulatoryreadiness.¢ With extensive input from and collaboration with entity regulatory directors, prepare annual or semi-annual reports on thestate of regulatory readiness at Penn, including major risks and opportunities.¢ Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures¢ Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

Education/Experience\n•\tMaster's Degree required, in Nursing, Healthcare or Public Health preferred.\n•\t10+ years Healthcare regulatory experience required.\n\nLicenses, Registrations, and Certifications\n•\tRN preferred. \n\nSkills and Abilities\n•\tUnderstanding and experience with national accreditation and CMS standards required. \n•\tDraft policy and communication documents in a succinct and understandable language/style required. \n•\tCOMMUNICATION: Demonstrated interpersonal/verbal communication skills required. \n•\tPROJECT/CHANGE MANAGEMENT: Demonstrated project management skills required. \n•\tCOMMUNICATION: Ability to work in a highly matrixed structure required. \n•\t Excellent collaboration and team building skills required. \n•\tEstablishes and maintains good working relationships and partnerships required. \n•\tKnowledge of regional licensing standards preferred.
