2021 CG – Network Software Solution Architect

The data center is the underpinning for every data-driven service, from artificial intelligence to 5G to high-performance computing, and DPG delivers the products and technologies - spanning software, processors, storage, I/O, and networking solutions - that fuel cloud, communications, enterprise, and government data centers around the world.

In this position, you will join a world class team in Intel Data Platforms Group and work with top talents in the industry, make direct contribution to the most popular open source communities like Linux kernel, QEMU, DPDK, FD.io, and develop network software infrastructures to lead network transformation in Cloud, 5G, Edge etc. You will have the opportunity to work on world leading technologies such as CPU micro-architecture, Intel QuickAssist Technology (Intel QAT) products, Virtualization, Ethernet, FPGA, Security & Crypto, storage, etc.

As part of software development team, you will define and understand the product requirement, design and implement the technical solutions for Telco, data center, enterprise use scenario. You will contribute to brainstorming and creating solutions for general technical and performance issues as they arise, and research & innovation on high performance packet processing to solve industry challenges in network evolution.

Qualifications

Basic requirements:
- You must possess a PhD Degree in CS or equivalent.
- Deep knowledge and technical research in one of the below areas:
o Network Security (IPSec, SSL, VPN, etc.),
Cipher Algorithms (AES, RSA, ECC, etc.),
o Deep Packet Inspection and Application Identification
o Pattern match and Regular Expression
- Good understanding of Linux/FreeBSD like system and Internals.
- Good understanding of computer architecture.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP network
- Good understanding of Virtualization technology (VMWARE, KVM or XEN), Network virtualization.
- Good understanding of C programming skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English) and the ability to work as part of a multisite team.
- Be comfortable interfacing with customers and the ability to work with customers and to assist them to resolve technical issues.
