**Strategic Analysis**

An intern in Space Strategy and Futures (Strategy Analysis, Development, and Execution) would perform strategic analysis on the space market (both National Security and Commercial), competitor/industry assessments, and government policy to assist in formulating and refining enterprise strategies and priorities. The individual will assist in research and analytical assessment of topics related to the establishment of the Space Force, commercial space activities, and other drivers of the current dynamic space market.

**Competitive Intelligence**

An intern in Market/Competitive Assessment would develop market forecasts, monitor and communicate industry trends, design and conduct in-depth research on key competitors across the aerospace and defense industry/commercial space. Collect and assess benchmarks and related market data. Utilize publicly available data, primary research, and other creative and ethical approaches to develop competitive intelligence products. Effectively communicate insights and results to an executive audience.

**Strategic Planning**

An intern will work on a variety of Portfolio-related 'Corporate Development-type' projects. Analysis of Portfolio and Portfolio capability gap analysis. Development of inorganic options to close capability gaps. Financial and strategic assessment of options, Development of M&A candidate list and pipeline, Analysis of M&A candidates.

**Financial Planning & Analysis**

An FP&A Intern will support Monthly Indicated Final (IF) Forecasting process & analysis. Annual Operating Plan (AOP) Development. Financial Close and SEC Reporting Requirements. Executive Presentations & Analysis of Financial statements, trends, and sensitivities. Various other ad hoc analysis.

**Rates & Budgets**

An intern with the Space Sector Rates & Budgets group will assist the sector in evaluating its cost structure to ensure market competitiveness and compliance with applicable US Government regulations. The position will be involved in overhead cost management, affordability analysis, and the creation of a Forward Pricing Rate Proposal (FPRP) that aligns with the sector's Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

Positions will be filled in our Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector and candidate may be located in California or Virginia. Relocation options will be available to qualified candidates. Most positions will be filled as a 12-week internship.


**Basic Qualifications:**


Candidate must be working towards a Master's in Business Administration.

**Experience/Job Qualifications**

Candidate should have a strong interest in working for Northrop Grumman. Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal and problem solving skills. Candidate should be able to work well in a team environment with an ability to build relationships with others. Candidate should have strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Candidate should be action oriented and have a customer focus attitude.

Preference for candidate with technology background and interest/experience in Aerospace & Defense. Candidate must be comfortable with potential assignment that could involve minimal supervision and limited face-to-face interaction (due to COVID-19 restrictions)

Considered candidates must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and be a U.S. person.
