**Job Description:**







Siemens Postal, Parcel and Airport Logistics LLC is experiencing growth in our Supply Chain operations at our DFW Airport location. We are searching for qualified WIP Coordinators to fill immediate full time positions with access to a comprehensive Benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and more. The WIP Coordinator assists the Planner Master Schedule and the Manufacturing Supervisor with the day to day activities of the manufacturing production area. This position also assures the timely completion of all production in the designated work center and under the direction of the Manager Master Scheduling & Planning.







ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:







-Operates forklift, walkie rider, or other warehouse equipment







-Moving completed assemblies to designated locations for long term storage







-Moving materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas







-Assisting in counting of physical inventory



-Maintains accurate records, which reflect the status of production currently assigned work orders, work In Process inventory. Performs WIP audit/cycle count activity as directed by the Master Scheduler - Planner.



-Coordinates with Master Scheduler - Planners, Manufacturing Supervisors, and Warehouse personnel to resolve material problems.



-Assures the timely completion of work orders released to assigned work centers.



-Expedites parts through Materials Department that are needed or requested by manufacturing to support production schedule.



-Communicates day to day priorities to the Production Supervisor with support of the Master Scheduler - Planner. Supports production supervision in all shop floor control activities.



-Works with Warehouse personnel to assure work order material and documentation are complete and accurate.



-Requests and returns material to the Warehouse as required.



-Assures material or assembly movement from work order to work order is transacted.



-Forwards all completed assemblies with the required paperwork to the Warehouse for processing.



-Supports Master Scheduler - Planners and Manufacturing Supervisors in monitoring material usage variances.



-Obtains and maintains a knowledge of company policies and procedures, including health and safety requirements.



-Expedites assemblies through his/her assigned manufacturing department that are needed or requested by other manufacturing departments to support production schedule.







-Performs related duties as assigned by supervision







EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:



-Requires a High School education or GED.



-Requires two (2) years minimum experience in a manufacturing production or shipping/receiving environment.







SKILLS:



-Knowledge of manufacturing practices.







-Must be forklift certified



-Problem-solving skills.



-Familiarity with the MRP Systems.



-Ability to read, comprehend and follow company policies, procedures and directives.



-Knowledge of personal computer systems and programs such as spreadsheets, database and word-processing.
