Vendor Management Associate

**Job Location:** United States : Delaware : Wilmington

**Role Value Proposition:**

The Vendor Management team is responsible for third party oversight of strategic vendor relationships supporting global medical claims processing.

The Vendor Consultant is responsible for relationship management and daily oversight of the vendors operations on behalf of the business within specific Regional Service Centers.

**Key Responsibilities:**

**Contract Management**

+ Responsible for understanding Service Level Agreement requirements and for managing vendors to those requirements.

+ Responsible for partnering with Sourcing/Procurement, Legal, Operations, and other Lines of Business departments to develop or update contracts.

**Financial Oversight (Invoicing)**

+ Review vendor invoices and provide Finance with insights into billing variances.

+ Responsible for invoice reconciliation.

**Risk Management (Audits, Action Plans, Procedures)**

+ Perform assessments of vendor performance. Create action plans to address underperformance.

+ Provide feedback and recommendations to vendors to improve performance based on action plans.

+ Assist in completing all key deliverables, reporting, dashboards etc.

+ Assist in setting metrics to monitor and measure process performance to ensure customer needs are being met.

**Vendor Management**

+ Use analytical tools and methodologies to analyze data and identify opportunities for process improvements.

+ Weigh costs, benefits, and risks before recommending course of action.

+ Establish and maintain effective relationships while delivering constructive feedback.

+ Develop and deliver presentations to management, vendors and other stakeholders.

+ Deliver constructive feedback while maintaining effective relationships.

+ Reviews process and identifies opportunities for improvement.

**Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:**

+ Able to summarize facts, variables, alternatives, and potential outcomes to assist decisions-making.

+ Demonstrates strong project management capabilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Detail oriented with proven ability to question assumptions and identify opportunities within existing practices and results driven.

+ Demonstrates a big picture understanding of the business, its interrelationships and priorities.

+ Demonstrates a willingness to examine own position and accept input from others.

+ Participates in planning change efforts.

+ Develops an awareness of customs, values, and work practices of others.

+ Communicates clearly verbally and in writing.

+ Able to engage and influence others (people skills).


+ 5-6 years of related Vendor Management work experience.

+ 2-3 years of Healthcare industry work experience.


+ Able to work Monday- Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

+ Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience is highly preferred.

+ Ability to speak fluent Spanish is desired.
