**Manufacturing PM (Training and Governance)**







**Overview:**







The Flanders facility has undergone significant expansion in the last 24 months. This is in preparation for the manufacture of our legacy products and for the manufacture of our new product lines that are rapidly approaching high volume manufacture.







We are consequently seeking a talented Manufacturing training and governance coordinator (Project Management) to join the Manufacturing Operations team at our Flanders NJ facility. This is a newly created role that will be responsible for the induction and training of new manufacturing staff. In addition the incumbent will also create training metrics, provide guidance and ensure adherence to training policy and procedure.







The expansion of manufacturing direct labor is forecast to exceed 300 employees in the next 2 to 3 years. The role therefore requires a highly organized individual who will track training development and maintain a KPI status: encouraging employee advancement and ensuring cross training for line balance. The individual will assist the operators with other training and development needs such as; Excel, SAP, SharePoint, Track, and our internal development programs. The role will work in unison with the production management and supervisors to ensure adherence to work instructions and procedural compliance.







Good communication and the ability to work within a matrix management structure is an essential skill that will be needed for this role. The incumbent will interface with the manufacturing line supervisors and managers and will also have a very close affiliation with HR, Quality, Engineering & EHS.







**Summary Role Description:**







- Responsible for: induction, development, compliance, cross training, governance and guidance of manufacturing personnel.







**Detail Role description:**







- The Training and governance coordinator will be responsible for the management and induction of incoming manufacturing employees.







o Pre joining employees; the coordinator will ensure that Laptops, PKI, cell phones, system access and setups are all in place.







o Post joining; the coordinator will ensure and assist with the procedural and other training steps that are needed for the applicant to successfully move to the production area.







- This will involve establishing an induction / training protocol and running classroom sessions.There will be a significant focus on ensuring that the individuals are fully trained, embrace the company philosophies and are aware of the importance of compliance.







- Training and tracking systems will be established and owned by this role. These will be used to track status, encourage employees to develop and also allow cross training of individuals to ensure that there is flexibilityacross the production team disciplines.







- The individual will be a go-to-point for the employees either in their initial training or whilst actively working on the shop floor. The incumbent will support the training needs of the manufacturing team and collect feedback on areas of improvement and resolve or escalate anomalies raised by the team, thus bringing efficiency and compliance to the production team.







- In addition to the above the individual will assist the employees with access and navigation of all related Siemens Software.







- Other software training such as Excel, Word, lean (SPS), 5S, 3is will also be driven by this function where appropriate.







- Development of personnel is a focus of this role. In conjunction with HR, supervisors and managers the individual will help guide employees. towards relevant training and the Siemens training portals to further enhance the employees effectiveness in their function.







- The individual will develop and deliver, required training courses to include technical or developmental topics.







- There will be a focus on continuous improvement and as such the individual will help drive lean awareness to the manufacturing teams.







- As well as the development KPIs, the individual will be responsible for ensuring all training records are up to date and meet the quality KPIs. The individual will ensure training needs are met or exceeded and will function as the governanceof compliance in conjunction with the supervisors and line managers







- The role will drive CAPA resolution and training, at times owning CAPAs for production related areas.







**Requirements (Must haves):**







- MinimumBachelors Degree, preferredMasters Degree level applicant in a discipline relevant to the industry (e.g. Mech / Elec / Biomed Engineering)







- Strong quality assurance and procedural adherence background (Typically from a similar healthcare regulated industry)







- Good communication skills and proven ability to organize large numbers of employees in a classroom and in a 1 to 1 environment







- Strong understanding of Siemens systems and procedures, with emphasis on compliance







- Embraces the philosophy We dont compromise on quality and will be an ambassador of the business principles







- Ability to network with Quality, Engineering, HR and EHS functions to ensure procedures, training requirements, work instructions, and similar are in place and adhered to.







- Exceptional organization skills and ability to develop and manage training records and KPIs







- Motivational approach (via KPI) to encourage individuals to meet compliance, develop their abilities and grow.







- Background in medical manufacturing







- Experience of training, teaching or coaching







- Significant knowledge and / or experience of SAP (emphasis on Manufacturing elements of SAP)







- Ability to flex theirworktime around shift patterns so that training and governanceis evident on all shifts.







**Requirements (Highly desirable):**







- Microsoft office skills







- Industry experience in a manufacturing and quality environment







- Quality and Engineering background







- FDA experience with audit experience







- Lean background (SPS, 6 sigma, RCA)







- CAPA experience and knowledge
