**Job Description:**

**Position Overview**

Reports to the Product Management Director for Systems Engineering and Mechatronics. Responsible for the definition and direction of a product or product family throughout all stages of the product life cycle (concept through end-of-life). Develops products by identifying potential products, conducting market research, generating product requirements and use cases, production timetables, pricing, packaging, and time-integrated plans for product introduction. Works with product marketing and sales on the product launch andgo to market strategy to ensure that the product is successful in the marketplace upon release. Continues to work with development, sales and product marketing to manage the product through its life cycle to ensure it meets established goals for revenue and customer satisfaction. Handles negotiations and contract discussions with vendors, customers and third parties. Makes critical decisions regarding product lifecycle (e.g. phase-out). Represents company plans and product strategies to industry analysts and customers.


Product Ownership:

oDefining and prioritizing product requirements and use cases against business objectives

oConducting product architecture alignment with lead architects

oJoining project scrum-teams and acting as product owner (Agile methodology)

oMonitoring project execution and quality

oDemonstrating resulting product capabilities

oDeveloping content for technical training courses

oDefining product pricing and licensing

Product Management:

oResponsible for preparing and delivering internal and customer facing presentations, presenting and justifying financial investments through a business plan

oTracking business results and developing strategic visions for products and solutions

oAuthoring white papers, blogs, positioning documents, supporting Marketing with content/deliverables

oDeveloping 3rd party technology and business partners

**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**

oMasters degree in engineering or computer science

o8+ years in software product development working with large customers in a Product Management role

oSolid knowledge of ECAD Electrical/Wiring design in Automotive and Aerospace

oFamiliar with model and simulation driven technics (MBSE, MDD, etc)

oFamiliar with systems engineering and industry standards in the domain

oFamiliar with embedded systems development

oFrequent travel

oPosition based in any Major U.S. City

General experience:People Management, Understanding the Customer,

Agile Development,Requirements Analysis, Pricing, Planning,

Competitive Analysis, Financial Planning and Strategy
