SVP, Head of Strategy and Transformation

**Role Value Proposition** : The Head of Strategy and Transformation plays a key role on the Global Operations Leadership Team. The incumbent will work closely with the EVP of Operations to develop strategy that impacts over 11,000 Global Operations associates and how they operate. This position will be a key leader to drive the transformation of MetLifes core insurance capabilities globally; Claims, Policy Administration and Underwriting and New Business. The incumbent will be responsible for leading, overseeing and coordinating multiple large scale and complex transformation initiatives across Global Operations that incorporate proactive and innovative solutions to address business challenges and support GTOs vision of driving savings, leveraging scale and offering a differentiated customer experience.

The role is also accountable for the enterprise deployment and adoption of The MetLife Way methodology, using the Lean Management System, which extends beyond Operations with active deployments in areas including Sales, HR and Technology.

This executive will work closely with leaders globally to drive clarity and alignment of vision, strategy and initiatives to transform core operational processes and our customers experience with MetLife.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Drives all aspects of operations transformations, including but are not limited to: driving operations assessments, identifying transformation opportunities, designing solutions, creating transformation roadmaps, implementing target operating models, managing change, as well as prioritizing initiatives and efforts on programs, overseeing progress, managing risks and issues and ensuring that transformation initiatives deliver expected results.

+ Ensure successful execution of process improvement, process reengineering and process optimization projects that ensure efficient and effective delivery of deliverables and business needs, across Global Operations.

+ In partnership with leaders across the company, will coordinate transformation teams deployed on initiatives tied to Global Operations strategic priorities and will drive transformation.

+ Driving adoption of operational excellence across all of Global Operations.

+ Oversees change management capability that has been deployed as the gold standard in driving change strategies and initiatives.

+ This team will work with key partners across Operations to analyze and streamline processes for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

+ Oversee The MetLife Way team which provides Lean services to the enterprise.

**Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:**

+ Fifteen years of senior leadership level experience with previous experience in top tier management consulting firm.

+ Collaborative and adopts a participative style and engages others in constructive debate before making decisions or recommendations.

+ Mutual sense of purpose with a focus on shared goals while encouraging diverse viewpoints.

+ Background in Lean experience required

+ Strong strategy, planning, and P&L experience highly desirable.

+ Excellent interpersonal skills (listening and communication) characterized by effective interactions with a diverse range of internal and external constituents, stakeholders and audiences.

+ Experience engaging and communicating with senior leadership.

+ Strong influencing and conflict resolution skills especially with Senior management

+ MBA preferred; undergraduate degree in related discipline minimum
