**Position** : **Senior Vice President, Global Digital Strategy and Transformation**

**Job Location:** **New York, NY**

**Role Value Proposition** : MetLifes Digital vision is to accelerate growth and drive value through a focus on customers, world-class capabilities, and a holistic transformation. In this new role, reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, the SVP Global Digital Strategy and Transformation will be instrumental in the definition, implementation & governance of MetLifes Digital strategy globally. The main objective of the role is to drive a compelling and unifying Digital vision and strategy, realized through a holistic transformation program with clear accountability and governance. The role will span Digital strategy development, management of Digital initiatives, and the governance of the overall Digital program including metrics, Digital employee empowerment, and Digital communication. Key part of the role will be business engagement, i.e., understanding the demand for Digital solutions from the businesses, developing Digital strategies for satisfying this business demand and then helping to deliver a Digital solution. This requires partnering with both senior business and technology stakeholders. The roles remit is global and across all business lines.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Drive active business engagement in developing strategies for embedding Digital into regional businesses and aligning business strategies for a digital world

+ Understand and communicate regional business priorities & demand to the digital office and to relevant technology functions

+ Liaise with enterprise strategy team to facilitate alignment between Digital initiatives and enterprise strategy imperatives

+ Develop Digital competitive intelligence across industries to inform Digital strategy roadmap

+ Prepare strategic presentations for MetLifes senior stakeholder groups including MetLifes Board of Directors, CEO and Executive Group

+ Develop a compelling communications plan to bring Digital to life in MetLife; act as Digital strategy champion and communicate to internal and external audiences, partnering with Corporate Communications to develop an internal and external communications strategy and execution plan

+ Establish Digital PMO and create dedicated portfolio management for all Digital initiatives. Assess portfolio of Digital projects for their progress against scope, acceleration plan, timeline, and benefit capture

+ Institutionalize Digital governance & steering efforts to foster more stringent governance, global alignment sharing/re-use to be more ambitious in the definition of the benefits from Digital initiatives

+ Lead facilitation and governance of MetLifes enterprise-wide Digital Acceleration Team composed of senior leaders in areas including marketing, sales and service. Accelerate roll-out of Digital metrics and must win battles

+ Launch employee development and engagement plan to develop internal talent, capabilities and tooling to drive employee engagement, participation and productivity

**Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:**

+ Fifteen years of experience in a top tier management consulting concern focusing on technology plus ideally post-consulting experience in an internal strategy, Digital, or COO/CAO role

+ Working with key clients and/or stakeholders at the senior leadership or divisional head level

+ Proven success working in an innovative environment and in the development of digital products and services

+ Experience working in a complex global organization with proven effectiveness operating in a global company spanning multiple business units

+ Proven ability to translate broad corporate next generation strategies into clear, specific business deliverables and solutions

+ Demonstrated ability to synthesize the evolving future of an industry, including developinginsights into consumer trends and disruptive technology, using data and evidence to define impact on businesses and/or a relevant sector

+ MBA or other advanced degree preferred; undergraduate degree in related discipline required
