**Job Location:** United States : Illinois : Freeport







Role Value Proposition:







Supervises, evaluates, and develops a claims unit. Provides direction and necessary authority in the investigation, reservation, and disposition of claims.







Key Responsibilities:







+ Supervises, coaches, and develops a unit of Total Loss adjusters and support staff involved in handling of the Total Loss portion of first and third party claims.



+ Reduces risk and exposure to the company by overseeing proper claims handling and timeliness of claims processing.



+ Ensures that unit is clear on protocol requirements and adheres to state regulations and guidelines.



+ Reviews the payment screen on a daily basis to ensure payments are released in a timely manner.



+ Generates and reviews productivity reports to ensure team productivity goals are met.



+ Ensures productivity, service time and quality levels are maintained by adjusting unit resources and overseeing daily workflow, productivity, and quality for the unit.



+ Oversees the quality of the claim files in the unit including compliance reserving, customer service, diary and alerts.



+ Completes required amount of eQAP reviews to ensure compliant claims handling, protocol adherence and diary dates.



+ Monitors, reviews and evaluates calls by staff for accuracy, documentation, customer service, and regulatory compliance.



+ Reviews eQAP and service observe results with associates and provides feedback and coaching.



+ Proposes, evaluates and implements process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.



+ Receives and resolves escalated claims received from subordinates, management, consumers, and regulatory agencies.



+ Conducts compliance reviews for the compliance department as requested/required.



+ Manages vendor relations to ensure vendors are appropriately utilized, meet their SLAs, and vendor system computations and outputs are correct.



+ Oversees and monitors rental portion of claims on total loss.



+ Manages special projects or initiatives as assigned.



+ Performs other duties as assigned or required.







Supervisory Responsibilities: Full people management responsibility, including hiring, firing, promotions, performance and compensation management, and training and development.







Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:







Required:







+ 5 years of Claims or Total Loss experience



+ Valid adjusters license for assigned states, if applicable



+ Strong leadership skills and organizational skills



+ Strong interpersonal communication skills as well as negotiation skills



+ Ability to travel







Preferred:







+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
