Supervisor - Sales Support Administrators, Norwood, MA  


 


The Sales Support Administrative Supervisor provides organizational and process guidance to the Sales Support Administrators on day to day operations sharing in the accountability for the Americas sales quotas.  Responsible for leading and empowering the team to be engaged by maintaining an environment that fosters enthusiasm and a positive attitude.  Our philosophy in achieving our sales quotas is to be a leader that encourages a customer facing team that provides support to our internal and external customers in efforts to achieve our bookings goals.  This individual will provide backup to the Sales Support Administrative Group during end of quarters and absences. 


 


Responsibilities:



  • Leads a team performing customer contact support activities. Receives processes, investigates and resolves all incoming inquiries from Dealers/Distributors, Field Sales, and end users. Plans, directs, supervises, and evaluates work flow. Coordinates work activities to achieve the volume expected to meet operational requirements. Possess the knowledge and skills necessary to resolve wide and varied situations covering all aspects of the business, and be able to implement recommendations and decisions regarding these matters. Individual provides supervision and direction for a designated team of customer care/service representatives, within established guidelines and practices.  Requires at least an Associates degree and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

  • Innovative in redesigning system and process changes as necessary to improve the efficiency and productivity of the Sales Support Administrator function while considering all customers internally and externally.  Collaborates with the Inside Sales Manager prior to implementation of improvements to ensure compliancy with current certifications (ISO). Assists in the development, training and daily guidance of the Sales Support Administrators which includes defining coverage for staffing shortages along with responding to customer concerns as needed.

  • Participates in the process of hiring, coaching and conducting annual performance reviews for members of the Sales Support Administrative group along with implementing performance management corrective action plans if necessary.   Interacts with appropriate external departments to facilitate changes required to ensure ongoing improvements in the efficiency of the SSA group. 

  • Development of metrics on the relevant systems associated with Orders and Customer Creation.  Part of the responsibility is to investigate and facilitate changes as needed to satisfy our customers along with collaboration of Sales Management prior to implementing any changes.  Contributes to the overall goals of the sales department for AMT/OTC as needed by providing support to all team members in generating, maintaining quotations and providing pre and post sales activities as required.



Requirements:   


 



  • Three to five years of prior experience in administrative, coaching and customer focused disciplines.Ability to work in a fast-paced customer facing diverse environment while showing independence in balancing and prioritizing multiple work assignments concurrently.

  • Must have strong time-task project management skills and organizational skills to be able to provide support in a team environment.Must possess leadership qualities in order to work effectively with co-workers, both internal and external to the department.

  • Interpersonal skills needed to deal professionally and effectively with customer problems and employees in resolving discrepancies and disputes.Ability to work extended hours as needed and proficient in using all Microsoft Applications along with all relevant software tools.
