Staff Hydrogeologist Redmond (Regular Full-Time)

GeoEngineers, Inc., a leading national earth science and technology consulting firm, is seeking an entry level Hydrogeologist for our Redmond, WA location to assist with a diversity of technically challenging projects across multiple markets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities


As a Staff Hydrogeologist, you are responsible for conducting hydrogeologic field investigations including sampling and logging of soil and rock during drilling, water supply well siting, design, installation and development, aquifer testing, groundwater monitoring and infiltration testing. You can expect to spend a portion of your time in the field for projects, both big and small, allowing you to develop an understanding of a variety of geologic conditions. Youll also be responsible for compiling and analyzing data and assisting in the development of groundwater flow models and dewatering plans based on the data you collect. As part of an experienced hydrogeology team, youll work alongside several professional geologists and hydrogeologists to support a variety of projects mainly in the Puget Sound area related to storm water infiltration, water-supply development, construction dewatering and water right assessments.


Preferred Qualifications


BS in Geology or related field required; MS in Hydrogeology or Geology preferred. A broad background in geology and hydrogeology, including coursework in geomorphology, groundwater modeling, and hydrology, is highly desired. As an ideal candidate, you have a strong field orientation and proven problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Office is required; an understanding of groundwater modeling software such as Visual MODFLOW or 3D GMS is a plus! One year of related experience is preferred. The ability to successfully work within a team, as well as professional-level verbal and written communication skills, are a must! A valid driver's license is required.
