To assist in driving the attraction and engagement of top industry talent, the department is seeking to add an energetic, creative, and action-oriented professional as Sr. Manager of Recruitment Marketing and Strategic Communication. This individual will be responsible for Abbott’s recruitment marketing efforts internally and externally. This Sr. Manager will work closely with recruitment leaders across all divisions, functions, and geographies to deliver against their business goals. In addition, this individual will collaborate with Abbott’s global marketing organization as well as the Global VP of Talent Acquisition. This Sr. Manager will directly manage a team of social media and brand marketing experts.

The Sr. Manager of Recruitment Marketing and Strategic Communication will empower recruitment across each of Abbott’s four divisions.

  • DIAGNOSTICS: Our innovative instrument systems and tests help monitor a range of health conditions with speed, accuracy and efficiency. From automated immunodiagnostics systems and blood analyzers to sophisticated molecular diagnostics and point-of-care devices, our technologies provide health care professionals with information they need to make the best treatment decisions.
  • MEDICAL DEVICES: Less-invasive solutions for vascular procedures; fast, accurate blood glucose meters; innovative technologies to keep the heart beating at a healthy pace; specialized devices for people suffering from chronic pain and movement disorders; and more – our advanced medical device technologies are designed to enable people to return to their everyday lives faster and healthier.
  • NUTRITION: We offer science-based nutrition products for every stage of life – from infant and pediatric to adult healthy living and therapeutic nutrition. Our products include leading consumer brands like Similac, Ensure, Glucerna, PediaSure, EAS and ZonePerfect – as well as specialty products that help meet the nutritional needs of people with a variety of health conditions, such as cancer, diabetes, kidney disease and osteoporosis.
  • PHARMACEUTICALS: We offer high-quality, affordable and trusted branded generic medicines to help treat some of the most pervasive and persistent health conditions around the world. Through packaging enhancements, new formulations and innovative delivery methods, we tailor our offerings to address regional health needs and provide access to some of the most trusted and proven medicines to those who need them most.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Build brand awareness and engage talent through creating, curating content and storytelling.    
    • Be the expert and advocate on recruitment marketing, advertising and employee value proposition management, including, strategy execution and measuring impact.    
    • Develop and execute strategies on Content Management, SEO, SEM, Social Media, and Digital Marketing. 
    • Continuously stay at the forefront of recruitment marketing by doing competitive analysis and measuring success to best in the industry. 
    • Create and deliver effective communications for internal and external Talent Acquisition, including executive communication to drive engagement and strategic clarity. 
    • Work with recruiting leads across the global to build digital, social, marketing, and advertising strategies for key talent segments and report on strategic outcomes. 
    • Support a best in class candidate experience through channels managed. 
    • Manage Abbott’s existing channels and site, maximizing effectiveness and keeping the content fresh and engaging. 
    • Train and educate recruiters on digital, brand marketing and social media concepts. 
    • Maintain positive relationships with Corporate PA, Marketing and external vendors.   

      Minimum Education Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree in a Marketing, Communications, or Business.  Master’s preferred. 

        Experience Required:

        • Minimum 10+ years of successful experience in building marketing / branding strategies across multiple channels, with strong focus on digital and social media.
        • Recruitment marketing experience and previous journalism/communications experience preferred.
        • Experience in recruiting or supporting recruiting function or communications. 
        • A storyteller.  Creative verbal, written and visual communicator.
        • You must understand the value of an employer brand can effectively communicate the value proposition.
        • Experience working in a global setting.
        • Solid knowledge and proven experience with recruitment focused content and campaigns, both digitally or print.
        • Effective in influencing others to get strategic program off the ground.
        • Think strategically, but can roll up the sleeves to execute campaigns and programs.
        • You can inspire recruiters to create and share content, amplifying our reach and influence throughout the candidate journey.
        • Experience with journey mapping and persona development.
        • Able to translate data into insights with actionable outcomes.
        • You measure everything in the funnel for continuous improvement and ROI analysis.
