**Head of Strategic Market Insights - Sr. Director**

**NAM Marketing Sales Operations & Communication (MSC)**

**Position overview**

The overarching purpose of NAM MSC Strategic Market Insights group is to be a proactive and forward thinking partner in the delivery of market & customer insights for the strategic planning process. This team will bring deep understanding of the end market, our customers, & competitors though predictive analytics & market trending. The leadership role will be the foundation of partnership to the NAM Business Areas & Strategic Corporate Accounts in helping them to climb the customer ladder.

Primary leadership responsibilities to ensure a single source of truth to the business include:

+ Leading the buildup & development of a best in class centralized market insights team that can partner with commercial leaders to drive business results. This team will define and scope targeted market research initiatives that forecast market trends and inform/influence regional strategic plans.

+ Develops strategic partnerships with key internal stakeholders - RBLs, and Business Management Leaders.

+ Strategically selects the critical internal & external sources of data & information and leads the translation of key messages to NAM commercial team for action.

+ Understands disease state trends, evolving regulation, customer segment needs, competitive strategies. Effectively utilizes information to evaluate internal value propositions & performance to assess current positioning and recommend improvement levers.

+ Shapes market research initiatives based on derived insights form core market research & analytics in close partnership with the Business Areas and Strategic Corporate Accounts.

+ Leads the relationships with critical third-party industry analysts (MD Buyline, KLAS, etc.), communicates the value proposition of evolving business models & strategic partnerships to enhance positioning to the market. Leads vendor selection process to ensure organization has access to impactful external market expertise.

+ Integrates analytic insights into strategic planning process & leverages for operation decision making within NAM MSC for messaging & content development.

+ Leads the partnership with the NAM MSC Platform team for market consolidation, storage & reporting automation initiatives.

+ Internal & external benchmarking of market insights programs & processes, internal gap analysis, drives operational improvements, change, consistency, & optimization.

**Requirements & Capabilities**

+ Leadership of a predictive / data analytics modeling function, experience ideally in a build stage.

+ Comprehensive Healthcare market & industry knowledge.

+ Demonstrated success of driving analytics workflow/ process optimization topics in a matrixed organization. Advanced business acumen, strategic perspective and ability to implement strategies into analytics team.

+ Exceptional collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to lead change.

+ Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and develop customer/partner strategies.

+ Proven ability to attract, identify, & develop talent across varied functions.

+ Knowledge of varied Healthineers solution & product landscape preferred.
