**Job Description:**

This position is responsible for the

leadership, direction, and control of all distribution activity of the Siemens

Healthineers distribution center in Plainfield, IN. The DC is responsible

for the distribution of reagents, consumables, and small instruments globally

to both end customers and distribution centers. The site head is

responsible for the direction of the sites activities, including facility

maintenance, distribution, security, safety, quality, and leadership of the



Distribution center layout and design to achieve best in

class utilization and efficiency

Labor evaluation, management and optimization in a

multi-channel environment.

WM management and interaction to achieve increasing

efficiency and quality performance.

Accountability for providing the most cost effective and

efficient operation towards achieving customer loyalty.

Direction and implementation of short- and long-range

customer-oriented strategies regarding product delivery, distribution cycle and


Direction of facility resources and personnel towards

corporate objectives, and lead personnel in developing business, technical, and

supervisory growth paths.

Direction and control of long range strategic development

that will establish directions for facility personnel development, financial

performance and operation costs associated with meeting customer loyalty

performance objectives, while supporting service and corporate business plans.

+ Budget management and expensecontrol

+ Responsibility for the development andimplementation of all North American procedures, program, operations,documentation and training to comply with Corporate and regulatoryguidelines such as ISO, OSHA, EPA, DOT/IATA/OCEAN and FDA.

+ Accountability for the financial and physicalintegrity of all U.S. Finished Goods. This function includes thedevelopment and implementation of controls and systems to record, reportand monitor all inventories.

+ Development, direction, and control of U.S.Distribution performance standards, which are used by management tomonitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the organization, inventoriesand supporting service activities; Evaluation and implementation of qualityassurance programs; Improvement of delivery cycle time and all keyperformance indicators.

+ Development of policies/programs for area ofresponsibility or products and to forecast their impact; Analysis ofeffectiveness of policies/products and establishes future direction forfunctional policies and programs or products that affect company as awhole

+ Improvement of skill level of personnel bydeveloping, reviewing and improving the quality of work productivity,attitude, education and corporate vision; Creation of a motivationalworkplace, resulting in opportunities for staff to expand theircontribution to the Plainfield site.

Partner with Human Resources to direct

and support human resource activities and programs encompassing hiring,

employee performance, training and development. Direct the safety

programs to include environmental, local and regional compliance.

+ Four year college degree, Logistics Majorpreferred, or related field with heavy emphasis on Logistics

+ Seasoned professional with polishedcommunications skills. Excellent influencing abilities required forsuccessful strategic communication and implementation

+ Strong knowledge of warehouse managementsystems

+ History of low unit of measure over packed endcustomer distribution environment

+ Demonstrated history of performanceimprovement in warehousing and distribution

+ 10+ years experience in progressivemanagement positions with broad background in cost analysis, riskanalysis, strategic business planning

+ Ability to delegate effectively and respondquickly to human resource issues.

+ Must have broad background in customerexpectations, inventory, transportation and logistics

+ Must be fully conversant with numerous ISO,FDA and other local, state and federal regulations governing thishealthcare industry and able to interface effectively with regulatory executives.

+ Must possess proven management skillsnecessary to successfully lead the organization towards business growth.

+ Must possess excellent customer relations andnegotiating skills.

+ Must demonstrate leadership qualities thatbuild a positive motivational work environment, leading others towardscorporate goals and vision
