**Role Value Proposition:**

This position will report directly to the Vice President of business planning and sales strategy for MetLifes Global Employee Benefits and will develop strategies, tactics and business project plans for MetLifes Global Employee Benefits distribution strategy. Employee Benefits in focused markets outside of the United States develop strong AV results as a result of their low capital requirements and annual renewable policies.

Over the last 5 years, Global Employee Benefits has deployed central strategies, supporting the regions and countries own employee benefit businesses, and helping them accelerate their business. These strategies have included, but are not limited to the following:

The development, launch and maintenance of a global CRM platform using Salesforce.com in 30 markets

Development of a global voluntary benefits strategy for business outside the US in 11 countries, with support on ideation, capability development, and opportunity modeling.

Strengthening of collaboration between the US Benefits sales teams and our GEB teams in 6 key markets.

Alignment of initiatives requiring global alignment including; global intermediary strategy, technology integration, small market opportunities, etc.

**Key Responsibilities:**

The Sr. consultant role will be responsible for development and support several global employee benefits distribution strategies. The individual will partner with the MetLife regions and target markets to develop year over year strategy focused primarily on CRM and Multinational Sales with Group Benefits as well as promote and encourage a global community.

This role will liaise between key internal stakeholders:

+ MetLife Global Employee Benefits leadership (NY)

+ MetLife Global Technology & Operations (GTO) partners

+ Local and regional Employee Benefit members in key markets, as well as functional heads for IT, Operations, and Marketing

**Additional Responsibilities:**

+ Serve as business owner responsible for the implementation and follow up of international business strategy to grow global employee benefits business outside of the U.S.

+ Drive global CRM strategy across 30 markets outside of the United States, including development of new initiatives, promote the community usage, PAR request, deployment and ongoing productivity improvements.

+ Drive distribution opportunities with team members and external partners/consultants for non-BAU growth

+ Leading the ownership of project timelines and deliverables, providing status updates to relevant stakeholders

+ Ability to work with executives and business partners in a variety of international markets

+ Collaborate with GEB teams and IT project team to manage work flow and key milestones

+ Responsible for development of internal and external thought leadership.

+ Performs other related duties as assigned or required.

**Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:**

+ Expert knowledge of employee benefits, with proficiency in CRM process.

+ Expert knowledge of support products, mainly voluntary and worksite.

+ Minimum of 10+ years prior experience in related products.

+ Role in US with travel 10-15% of time

+ Competencies: Communicates / presents effectively, advanced relationship building skills, and ability to work across multiple levels of supervisors.

+ Knowledge of CRM system.

+ Demonstrated strategic planning, analytical problem solving, project management and organizational skills, with a proven record of driving results in a distribution setting

+ Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a history of building relationships, navigating complex, cross-cultural situations, and effective partnerships with executives

+ Demonstrates the ability to present and communicate clearly, succinctly and persuasively to a variety of internal stakeholders (corporate business partners, team members, functional colleagues, etc.)

+ Manage projects and deliver results through others

+ Is a self-directed, creative and strategic thinker who is both collaborative and decisive, uses sound judgment, exhibits a high degree of professionalism, establishes priorities, adheres to deadlines, works independently and motivates others

+ Analytical and capable of understand a full P&L and its impacts

+ Conversational or business proficiency in Spanish is a plus
