**Role Value Proposition:**







Regional and Small Business Solutions is a growth engine for MetLifes Group Benefits business in the US. The market opportunity accounts for over $70B of revenue 2-4,999 live and MetLife has plans to grow 2x as fast as the market.







This position is accountable for creating, monitoring and evolving business strategies to drive profitable growth across Regional and Small Business in support of our growth plans. The role will identify and execute upon solutions that exploit our strengths and enable us to better compete in market by delivering targeted and differentiated solutions that are developed to meet the needs of our customers. Strategies will enable us to deliver against our strategic priorities in both Regional and Small Business, highlighted by priorities focused on delivering local competitive advantage, activating our value proposition and strengthening our distribution advantage. In addition to implementing new strategies from our strategic roadmap, this position will be responsible for understanding/analyzing how our solutions are working in market, recommending strategies where we have gaps and leveraging an understanding of the market/competition to drive strategic growth.







**Key Responsibilities:**







1. Develop viable business cases, including modeling of results, to launch new solutions in Regional and Small Business segments



2. Develop and maintain business strategies and drive sign off and execution across the organization, to achieve the agreed upon financial goals



3. Deliver on market solutions to impact key drivers including quotes, closing ratio, persistency, products per sale/customer and penetration of voluntary and high accelerating value products



4. Activate our value proposition in market by partnering with Marketing, Broker Strategy and cross functional teams to deliver on solutions that resonate with the needs of our brokers and employers



5. Partner with distribution and cross functional teams to develop and deliver on solutions that enable us to better compete locally







**Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:**







Required:







+ Advanced working knowledge of group insurance market, distribution models and capabilities including core ancillary and voluntary benefits



+ Experience creating strategies and business cases and in assessing market and business opportunities that have created results



+ Experience and propensity to use data to drive decisions and competitive insights



+ Strong understanding of business drivers and financial performance measures



+ Strong problem-solving, analytical, process and project management skillset



+ Demonstrated ability to influence and work effectively and collaboratively within a matrix organization and with employees at all levels



+ Takes a customer centric focus to ensure an optimal end to end experience for our customers



+ High School Degree required







Preferred:







+ Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience



+ 7+ years in group insurance industry







+ Successful track record of driving large scale change that created intended results



+ Able to work effectively with Leadership internally and externally



+ Strong understanding of business drivers and financial performance measures



+ Ability to translate market trends into creative solutions and positioning



+ Flexible and able to multi-task within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment
