Sr. Analyst, Global Market Intelligence

Responsible for conducting global market analysis to support fact based tactical and strategic business decisions for Abbott Electrophysiology (EP) business unit.  

Essential Functions:

•             Subject matter expertise in markets related to Electrophysiology product platform(s)

•             Perform independent analyses and create/maintain global market models in the areas of market opportunity, penetrable market size and market share for EP product lines

•             Works closely with geographic partners to align on market size and Abbott share at a      country/regional level

•             Contribute quarterly market models to Abbott’s financial planning process

•             Identify, track and disseminate information on key market trends that impact EP product platforms

•             Collect competitive intelligence, analyze competitors’ performance and product pipeline

•             Collect and maintain information on EP call points (customer base, procedure volume, and    procedure mix and customer preferences)

•             Collaborate with GMI COE to standardize data analytics and to identify sources and to maintain a library of syndicated reports and third party data 

•             Conduct primary research and deliver insights. Assist internal clients in developing objectives and implement primary research on current product performance, new product launches, customer satisfaction and product/market development activities as well as new product development


•             BA/BS in Business/Marketing (MBA preferred), or related discipline

•             2+ years of experience in the medical device industry (market analysis experience preferred)

•             Thorough understanding of marketing and market analysis methodologies and requirements

•             Advanced excel and analytical skills required

•             Ability to effectively prioritize projects that align with corporate priorities

•             Ability to manage multiple projects

•             Excellent planning, organization and analytical skills

•             Must have excellent communication skills

•             Strong interpersonal skills are required

•             Strong presentation capabilities
