**Job Description:**







Siemens Postal, Parcel and Airport Logistics LLC is currently seeking a Software Test Engineer at our DFW Airport location. The Software Engineer/Test will design, modify, develop, test, write and implement software programming applications. Has ability to perform testing of products. Supports and/or install software applications/operating systems. Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Must be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Must be familiar with Object Oriented Design (OOD) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) solutions using DotNET technologies. Has worked in a Test-Driven Development (TDD) environment. Performed testing and troubleshooting on products throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).







Job Requirements:



Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, or a closely related field



2-5 Years Software development experience



A demonstrated understanding of object-oriented design, development and test



An understanding of Test Driven Development (TDD) through Unit and Integration Testing



Experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, IIS, ADO.NET



A passion to drive quality through automated testing



Performed product testing and troubleshooting throughout SDLC



Familiarity with source control software using Microsoft TFS and VSS



Able to analyze and troubleshoot software and hardware



Thorough knowledge of C/C++/C# using Microsoft Visual Studio



Software development on Microsoft Windows platforms



Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents programs



Excellent oral / verbal communication, reporting and writing skills



Production of documentation such as: plan, design and test specifications



Capable of Windows migrations on legacy equipment



Able to support and change existing product source code



10% travel







Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



Knowledge of Postal Automation software and hardware



Automation Test Engineering with any exposure to Selenium, SauceLab, Watir, TFS, or TDDium is a plus



Ability to communicate effectively within the development team and test



Experience with MVC, Scrum, RAD and TDD to accomplish agile practices



Knowledge of C#, Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), Windows Sockets, Windows C# Form and DotNET framework



Understanding of HTTP, REST architecture and knowledge of JSON



Knowledge of Ruby, SauceLab, Tddium, and Watir or other similar technologies
