**Job Description:**

**Position Overview:**

Implementation Consultants in Siemens GDN Services group, work with world-class cutting edge technology, to create and deliver high quality, robust and innovative solutions across Siemens PLM solutions portfolio.

Ideal candidates are software developers with experience in programming\ software development, solution development, using industry standard SDLC methodologies. Strong experience with a programming language such as C#, CSS, JavaScript and familiarity with SQL preferred.

It is preferable to have familiarity with one or more of the following: Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), QMS (Quality Management Systems), or other enterprise software with experience involving developing customization or configurations to suite the client needs.

Act under the guidance of solution architects, project manager and professional services team to understand customer requirements, and develop technical solutions. Conform to project processes and communication protocols. Collaborate with other implementation consultants and subject matter experts to contribute to an overall successful delivery of realized value to Siemens Customers.

Actively participate in knowledge-sharing and Communities of Practice, leveraging technical and industry best practices and templates to deliver project tasks, providing experiences to support continual improvement.


Implementation Consultants in Siemens GDN Services group, are primarily responsible for, but not necessarily limited to, the following duties:

+ Understand functional specifications, technical requirements or business justifications for a change.

+ Developing Software customizations, extensions using supported APIS to meet clients requirements, using established best practices to deliver a high quality, reliable and performant software solutions.

+ Executing Data Modeling activities where required, following Siemens standard methodologies, and adhering to the expectations established in Project Design Documentation.

+ Create documentation for technical procedures, installation processes, and whitepapers

+ Assist in the creation of system designs and functional specifications.

+ Troubleshooting and helping resolve issues across the entire scope of the Solution: Object Model, Design, Web Portal, and all other Interfaces. Demonstrate capability with the platforms that govern these Solution aspects.

+ Executing Testing activities where required, attaining familiarity with existing automated and manual test suite. Understand clients technology, landscape, context and requirements to execute solution validation activities.

+ Executing Data Migration and Data Conversion activities where required, gaining expertise with Siemens tools that support these activities.

+ Support Client Cutover and Go Live Activities.

**Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**


+ Experience developing a software solution using a programming language (2+ years required)

+ C#, CSS, JavaScript knowledge required

+ Experience using one or more of the following database programs (2+ years required)

+ SQL Server or SQL Express

+ Oracle


+ Access

+ Working knowledge of the following related technologies:

+ Microsoft Software

+ Microsoft Windows 2008, 2012 and Windows 8

+ Microsoft Office

+ Work Experience, Co-op, or Internship experience developing or implementing a process solution ideally in Manufacturing or Distribution (preferred).

+ Services \ Software development experience in manufacturing process ( preferred ).

+ Self- Motivated to learn, develop, deliver and excel.

+ Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, communicate obstacles in a timely manner and manage changing priorities.

+ A results oriented individual , capable of learning and contributing to a dynamic environment.

+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

+ Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.

+ Excellent English oral and written communication skills.

**Additional Skills (not required, but preferred)**

+ Experience in custom software development, User Interface development, and System Interface programming using the Microsoft Visual Studio IDE.

+ Experience or familiarity with AJAX controls, Windows Communication FoundationSiemens Camstar Designer, Siemens Camstar Portal Studio, XSLT, Object Oriented Design Experience, AngularJS, HTML5, Siemens Simatic IT product Suite, Web Services (Restful, WCF) JSON

+ Experience in custom software development with Enterprise Java, HTML5, JSP Applications


+ Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or related technical or engineering field.


10%-15% travel may be expected.
