**Job Description:**







The Social Media Community Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of approved content across the Siemens USA social media channels in support of the Siemens brand, key growth topics and campaigns, events and business initiatives. This role reports to the Director of Digital/Multi/Social Media in the U.S. and is part of the Public Affairs team within Corporate Communications (CC). This role requires a collaborative and proactive approach to drive the social function with the core team, broader CC team, and global counterparts and colleagues.







Duties and Responsibilities



Serve as the primary point-of-contact for the daily implementation of approved copy for Siemens USA social channels with comfort using in-platform and social platform management tools (Hootsuite, etc.), working highly complex corporate environment with onsite and virtual teams.



Knowledge of crafting and editing appropriate content and guiding creative assets for different social/digital channels based on business goals and industry best practices.



Monitor social media channels and route internally as needed for proactive and reactive engagement opportunities across channels.



Conduct social listening to inform content and copy decisions.



Participate as a member of the real-time social engagement team for key digital events (including onsite monitoring, engagement, supporting live social streams/chats/video, etc.).



Manage and contribute to social media editorial calendar to ensure consistency in message for both ongoing and moment-based social opportunities.



Expand internal and external community influencer engagement opportunities and programs.



Assist with consistent social media training for Corporate Communications team.



Assist with event or campaign based analytics as needed for key events.



Actively participate in creative discussions for Public Affairs messaging opportunities.



Help with project management of social content production and coordination of paid and organic social media campaigns with core team and partner agencies.



Assist with event or campaign based analytics as needed.



Make recommendations for the ongoing evolution of the social program by staying current on competitive and industry trends and best practices.



Bring passion for social media and self-driven desire to collaborate and grow professional portfolio with collaborative approach and insight-based recommendations for new copy, edits, and new asset/opportunity experimentation.







Qualifications/Experience/Skills and Proficiencies



Two+ years working in a corporate communications or business-to-business setting. Basic understanding of Siemens core businesses a plus.



Bachelors degree required.



Strong social media industry interest with experience implementing programs both in-platform and using Hootsuite or other social media channel management platform.



Preference for, or strong interest in, working with business-to-business or technical subject matter with desire to identify connection opportunities for these topics through social media.



Must be a team player with ability to work in a complex corporate environment with onsite and virtual team members and colleagues.



Demonstrated project management skills spanning planning through execution for multiple projects with varying deadlines and stakeholders, with commitment to quality work on time.



An organized self-starter and problem-solver with desire to successfully grow professional portfolio and overall function through ability to effectively multiple projects simultaneously, to trouble-shoot and proactively seek and recommend solutions and opportunities.



Ability and willingness to travel in support of key events as needed, up to 10%.
