**Job Description:**







**Position Overview**







Siemens Industry is looking for a Shipping Coordinator for their Grand Prairie, Texas plant. This position provides clerical support to shipping and materials management in performing data entry, shipping transactions, filing, coordinating paper flow; responds to inquiries relating to shipping documentation, and shipping instruction; compiles and maintains records such as time, date, quantity, source and destination of materials received or shipped, inputs data into shipping systems, prepares charts and reports from shipping-related databases; participates in inventory audits on regular basis to detect discrepancies; performs work within area of specialization of ECC (Export & Customs Control) support; compiling and maintaining all shipping documentation such as bills of lading, pro forma invoices, commercial invoices, AES filing, country of origin certificates, and other required customs documentation for international shipments; interprets documented rules, past practices, or instruction on a semi-independent level; effectively identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex. This position reports to the Logistics Manager for the Energy Management, Low Voltage & Products Grand Prairie plant and takes day to day operational direction from Materials Supervisor(s).







**Responsibilities**







- ECC duties for Grand Prairie Plant including but not limited to creating export documentation for shipments, performing DAMEX-E. clearance/research, researching HTC numbers, etc.







-Coordinating daily shipments for parcel, air freight, LTL, and truckload shipping including scheduling and preparing items for shipment, tracking/tracing shipments, etc.







-Ensure items are properly packed, documented, etc. for transit.







**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**







1. 2-5 years minimum experience in shipping in manufacturing environment







2. Working knowledge of MRP shipping cycle is required; SAP a plus.







3. Must have working knowledge of Excel and/or other MS Office software.







4. Must be able to train on, retain, and properly apply ECC required knowledge and tools.







5. Customs experience is preferred.







6. Must be able to work independently yet able to work with other departments on procurement issues that arise, cross-functional teams, etc.







7. HS diploma or equivalent required.
