**Job Summary:**

Siemens Financial Services

- Commercial Finance is seeking a Senior Underwriter to process small and mid-

ticket transactions in markets for products manufactured and sold by Siemens

Operating Companies. The position will also support the Industrial business,

focused on manufacturing, machine tool and service related industries.


+ Gatherinformation from (prospective) customers and industry sources with respect toproposed finance transactions, including but not limited to D&B, Paynet andpersonal credit reports.

+ Review andanalyze customer financial statements and tax returns.

+ Prepare creditand risk rating reports for proposed transactions.

+ Prepare periodicreviews for existing customers.

+ Establishcustomer borrowing limits and structure higher risk transactions, as needed.

+ Review andassess the business risk of transactional documentation changes from customers.

+ Initiateperiodic reviews of risk acceptance criteria performance and assist indevelopment/revisions of criteria.

+ Stay abreast ofindustry trends and product development.

+ Analyze transactions primarily in the Industrial sector. Analysis will include financial assessmentand risk rating, debt capacity analysis, business model assessment, businessplan analysis, sensitivity analysis, risk analysis, impact of documentnegotiations upon risk, and other analysis as the transaction dictates.

+ Review andinterpret external rating agency reports.

+ Conduct inperson and phone credit due diligence.

+ Communicatecredit decisions to internal contacts.

+ Interact with and support sales colleagues and management.

+ Participate in any documentation negotiations with (prospective)customers. Work closely with leaseadministration and the legal department on documentation issues.

+ Work with syndication managers on developing and analyzing creditpackages for 3 rd party review.

+ Provide assistance and complete tasks and special projects as needed.

+ Maintain data integrity and compliance with company policies andprocedures.

+ Update and maintain key customer information including financialinformation and lending limits.

**Qualifications (include education):**

+ BAor BS degree in finance, business or a related field required.

+ Minimumof 10 years of credit underwriting experience in a commercial (non-consumer)environment in Industrial markets such as Machine Tool, Manufacturing, FoodProcessing and Technology. Completion offormal bank credit training program strongly preferred.

+ Experiencein underwriting cash flow/balance sheet transactions with minimal collateralsupport such as software financing and technology. Determination to obtain allrequired data necessary to make an informed decision.

+ Ability to work independently in completingthorough due diligence in the underwriting process to make sound creditrecommendations and decisions.

+ Experiencein negotiation of terms and conditions of transactional documents.

+ Goodinterpersonal/communication skills and ability to develop and maintain goodinternal and external customer relationships.

+ Proficiencywith MS Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.).

+ Strongtechnical writing skills. Ability to present information in a concise, logicalmanner to support credit decisions and recommendations to senior management.
