**Job Description**







The Sales Executive will be responsible for representing our MAXIS business within the Americas region. The Sales Executive will perform territory planning & specific account planning to identify opportunities within the California market. In the position the Sales Executive will identify opportunities across all lines of business throughout the world based upon our local country capabilities. Collaborate with fellow multinational colleagues to approach California based multinational companies to earn and grow a portfolio. Responsible for building relationships within MAXIS across all internal colleagues and technical resources, as well as regional and local experts, toward a goal of influencing multinational companies to insure their global employee benefit plans in multiple countries with MAXIS network members.







Maintains strong relationships with clients and global intermediaries to resolve issues worldwide and maintain a productive sales relationship.







**Functional Responsibilities**







+ Under the direct supervision of the Sales Manager, this associate will maintain and grow the book of business through product consultative sales, upsells, and renewals within assigned territory of California.



+ Facilitates customer centricity strategies by supporting sales efforts with intermediaries and global clients (e.g. Global 2000, etc.) to achieve financial targets.



+ Perform account planning to identify opportunities within the California target market.



+ Provides consultation to clients and intermediaries, applying sound financial decision making for MAXIS and the client. Lead new client implementations and other projects.



+ Provides on-going support to post-sale service team and interaction with clients. Assists to resolve escalated service issues for clients and advisors. Generate reports to track/report activities, progress, and strategies.



+ Build effective working relationships with internal business partners, intermediaries, and other key industry stakeholders/influencers.



+ Develop new business strategies pertaining to the employee benefits business using market research, competitive intelligence, and performance metrics. Use input from our global/regional businesses and the field operations, usually working with teams of 4 or more people to drive and implement key initiatives.



+ Provide market intelligence to formulate market strategies to identify best-in-class models and processes for business acceleration; reviewing competitor and current internal best practices and identifying emerging opportunities based on changes in the market and/or regulatory environment, etc.



+ Performs other related duties as assigned or required.







**Required Qualifications**







+ 5+ years of relevant business experience in the financial services industry. Preferably with Global Employee Benefits & Healthcare experience.







+ Ability to communicate a clear and concise English (Additional language skills are a plus).



+ Appropriate insurance licenses are required. All required licenses must be obtained and in good standing within three months following the date of hire.







**Preferred Qualifications**







+ Exceptional project management, negotiation, oral, writing and presentation skills.



+ Flexibility to multi-task and work in an evolving environment.



+ Need to be aware of global/regional employee benefits business best practices and be able to adapt communication approach to different markets; taking local cultures and matrix reporting structures into consideration.



+ Must have strong negotiation and influencing skills.



+ Strong communication skills and relational intelligence.



+ Ability to find better ways to grow a business (products and channels). Proven track record on business development and of building collaborative partnerships and alliances while holding people accountable.



+ Should have strong analytical, interpersonal and project management skills. Must have clear understanding of business operations, KPI development, financial analysis and business research, development and planning.



+ Ability to work within a high functioning team, yet also independently to manage and grow own portfolio of clients/prospects.



+ Have an interest in learning and intellectual curiosity in the business to problem solve and find solutions to advance business goals.



+ Proficiency with computer systems. Strong MS Office (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word) skills







**Education**







+ Bachelor or Master Degree preferred







**Travel**







As a global role, the incumbents should expect travel mostly within the California market. Opportunity for international travel is very likely, to the extent of 10 35% of their time.
