**Job Description:**

**Job Summary:**

The position is designed to provide

cradle-to-grave analysis and execution for EF D-AM RM.

The Risk Manager provides

credit and structure analysis on proposed and actual EF D-AM transactions for

SFS Inc. (i.e. underwriting), ongoing portfolio/deal management, and trend card

review on closed and funded EF D-AM transactions for SFS Inc. Analysis includes

the prospective borrower, loan structure and supporting documentation. Prepare

and sensitize cash flow models to accurately assess credit risk. Additionally,

the Risk Manager will also be responsible for underwriting amendment and waiver

requests, with a strong understanding of how the request affects SFS. Serve as

the primary person in the loan closing process by negotiating documentation on

behalf of SFS.


+ Strong analytical skills andthorough knowledge of Project Finance and the Energy sector, including butnot limited to:

+ Power Generation

+ Power Transmission andDistribution

+ Oil and Gas Exploration andProduction

+ Refining

+ Pipeline

+ Generalunderstanding of all key industry risk drivers; including construction,commodity price / volume, technology, operations and maintenance,counterparty, contractual agreements, sponsor/equity, and market risks.Knowledge of debt capital markets and Energy sector

+ Gatherand evaluate client information, compare to industry benchmarks, analyzethird party information, assess risk and recommend credit levels, financingstructures and documentation requirements within standards and followingrisk management policies;

+ Participatein deal packaging / submittal process by completing the Credit Report andother appropriate underwriting documents; providing the first approval/endorsementof the fully underwritten transaction and presenting the case for thetransaction to the relevant approval authority;

+ Timelyprocessing of all customer requests including underwriting ofamendments/waivers, detailed review of legal documents and assessment ofimpact to SFS and underlying Project

+ Strongcash flow modeling skills, including the ability to appropriatelysensitize models. Strong ability toanalyze and interpret cash flow model data. Appropriately analyze all projectionassumptions and justifications.Conclude if projections are realistic and the ability for theborrower to attain projected results;

+ Ensure all Risk Management guidelines areadhered to and exceptions documented;

+ Strong verbal and written communicationskills. Act as lead presenter when presenting transaction requests toInvestment and Credit Committees;

+ Overseedocumentation/contracting and funding/booking processes, includingresolving any open items and ensuring all credit conditions are satisfiedprior to funding;

+ Maintainfrequent and on-going contact with customer post-closing to monitor /track performance and exposure;

+ Follow-upfor ongoing reporting and covenant compliance;

+ Act as dealadvocate and accountable party throughout the life of the transaction;

+ Interfacewith participants in SFS agented transactions;

+ Maintainrelationships with agents on third party agented transactions;

+ Beresponsive and provide ongoing support to the sales, marketing andbusiness development personnel;

+ Developstrong working relationships with other operational disciplines (Legal,Contracts, Asset Management, Collections, Tax, Accounting);

+ Organize andmanage trend cards in accordance with Risk Management policy;

+ Provide accurate and timelyinput into various databases (CBase, LoanIQ, etc.) and creditlogs/reports.

+ Attend industry seminars and courses focused on credit skills,financial statement analysis, portfolio management, project finance andthe energy industry.

**Qualifications (include education):**

Minimum 4-year

undergraduate degree with a focus on Finance, Business Administration or

Accounting. MBA preferred;

Minimum 3 years

underwriting and/or credit/risk experience, with an additional minimum 1-year

experience in energy industry underwriting, credit analysis and portfolio

management preferred;

Demonstrate a comprehensive overall knowledge of credit, audit and

portfolio management as well as a general understanding of new business

development and loan administration;

General understanding of

energy industry drivers and issues;

Must be detail-oriented

and possess strong organizational skills;

Ability to interact well

with others in a team environment;

Strong verbal and written

communication skills including ability to interact effectively with all levels

of management;

High degree of customer


Strong ability to operate

in a high volume, time pressured environment while maintaining a positive


High degree of

flexibility, energy, and initiative;

Strong organization
