**Job Description:**







**Job Summary:**







The position is designed to evaluate debt

investment opportunities in the Project Finance and Energy Sectors for the

Energy Finance Debt - Americas Risk Management (EF D- AM RM) team.







As the Risk Manager, you will provide credit and structure analysis on proposed and actual EF D-AM transactions for

SFS Inc. Analysis includes the prospective borrower, loan structure and

supporting documentation. You will prepare and sensitize cash flow models to accurately

assess credit risk. Serve as the primary person for investment presentation to

the relevant approval authority and in the loan closing process by negotiating

documentation on behalf of SFS.







**Responsibilities:**







+ Strong analytical skills andknowledge of Project Finance and the Energy sector, including but notlimited to:







+ Power Generation



+ Power Transmission andDistribution



+ Oil and Gas Midstream



+ Refining



+ Pipeline







+ Generalunderstanding of all key industry risk drivers; including construction,commodity price / volume, technology, operations and maintenance,counterparty, contractual agreements, sponsor/equity, and market risks.Knowledge of debt capital markets and Energy sector



+ Gatherand evaluate client information, compare to industry benchmarks, analyzethird party information, assess risk and recommend credit levels,financing structures and documentation requirements within standards andfollowing risk management policies;



+ Timelyprocessing of all customer requests detailed review of legal andproject-level documents, technical consultant reports and assessment ofimpact to SFS and underlying Project



+ Participatein deal packaging / submittal process by completing the Credit Report andother appropriate underwriting documents; providing the firstapproval/endorsement of the fully underwritten transaction and presentingthe case for the transaction to the relevant approval authority/committee;



+ Strongcash flow modeling skills, including the ability to appropriatelysensitize models. Strong ability toanalyze and interpret cash flow model data. Appropriately analyze all projectionassumptions and justifications.Conclude if projections are realistic and the ability for theborrower to attain projected results;



+ Ensure all Risk Management guidelines areadhered to and exceptions documented;



+ Strong verbal and written communicationskills. Act as lead presenter when presenting transaction requests toInvestment and Credit Committees;



+ Overseedocumentation/contracting and funding/booking processes, includingresolving any open items and ensuring all credit conditions are satisfiedprior to funding;



+ AssistPortfolio Management in maintaining frequent and on-going contact with thecustomer post-closing to monitor / track performance and exposure;



+ Interfacewith participants in SFS agented transactions;



+ Maintainrelationships with agents on third party agented transactions;



+ Beresponsive and provide ongoing support to the sales, marketing andbusiness development personnel;



+ Developstrong working relationships with other operational disciplines (Legal,Contracts, Asset Management, Collections, Tax, Accounting);



+ Provide accurate and timelyinput into various databases (CBase, LoanIQ, etc.) and creditlogs/reports.



+ Attend industry seminars and courses focused on credit skills,financial statement analysis, project finance and the power/energyindustry.







**Qualifications:**







+ Minimum 3 yearsunderwriting and/or portfolio management experience in corporate, structured orproject finance; with a preferred additional minimum 1-year experience inenergy industry underwriting, credit analysis and portfolio management;



+ Minimum 4-year collegedegree with a focus on Finance, Business Administration or Accounting. MBA or CFA preferred;



+ Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of risk management in acorporate, structured or project/infrastructure finance environment; audit andportfolio management as well as a general understanding of new businessdevelopment and loan administration;



+ General understanding ofproject finance and energy industry drivers and issues;



+ Must be detail-orientedand possess strong organizational skills;



+ Ability to interact wellwith others in a team environment;



+ Strong verbal and writtencommunication skills including ability to interact effectively with all levelsof management;



+ High degree of customerfocus;



+ Strong ability to operatein a high volume, time pressured environment while maintaining a positivefocus;



+ High degree offlexibility, energy, and initiative;







Strong organization skills.
