**Job Description:**







**Job Summary:**







The analyst position offers recent college graduates the chance to

enhance their financial and analytical skills while expanding their knowledge

of debt capital markets for energy sector finance. Analysts will:







+ be directly involved in transaction analysis, structuring, and therisk approval process for energy sector investment opportunities



+ prepare financial models and analyze financial statements for investmentpresentations



+ participate in transaction due diligence and structuring



+ research companies, markets and industries



+ develop credit and comparative analysis skills



+ monitor portfolio investments and assist on special projects







**Essential Job Functions (necessary to perform job):**







+ Good analytical skills andgeneral understanding / knowledge of investment banking / debt capitalmarkets.



+ Basic understanding of theenergy sector, including:







+ Power Generation



+ Power Transmission andDistribution



+ Oil and Gas Exploration andProduction



+ Refining



+ Pipeline







+ AttendBank Meetings for prospective transactions and participate in dealpackaging / submittal process by assisting the Risk Managers withobtaining necessary diligence materials for the Credit Report and other appropriateunderwriting documents;



+ Asanalytical and energy industry experience is gained, the Analyst shouldbegin providing greater assistance to the Risk Management staff;



+ Proficiencywith various computer hardware and software applications including Word,Excel, and PowerPoint;



+ CapableExcel-based cash flow modeling skills, including the ability toappropriately sensitize models;



+ Proficiencywith using the Internet and other resources to gather appropriate researchand diligence materials;



+ Obtain a general understanding of SFS Creditand Risk Rating Policies to ensure all risk management guidelines areadhered to and exceptions documented;



+ Strong verbal and written communicationskills;



+ Beresponsive and provide ongoing support to the sales, marketing andbusiness development personnel;



+ Organize andmanage credit files. Update creditfiles with financial and other information in accordance with SFS policy;



+ Improveknowledge and skill set through select, targeted education opportunities.



+ Attend industry seminars and courses focused on credit skills,financial statement analysis, portfolio management, project finance andthe energy industry.







**Qualifications (include education):**







+ BS/BA in accounting, finance, economics, or other quantitativesubject



+ Strong analytical skills



+ Strong writing, interpersonal and communication skills



+ Some experience in financial services or in the energy sectorthrough relevant internships, coursework or other experience is a plus



+ Detail-oriented and possesssolid organizational skills;



+ Ability to interact well withothers in a team environment;



+ Ability to operate in a highvolume, time pressured environment while maintaining a positive focus;



+ High degree of willingness tolearn, flexibility, energy, and initiative.
