This position is within the Financial Management - Business Architecture & Project Portfolio Management group will involve managing the Release Management schedule of projects and on-going business application operations







The role of the Release Manager will act as the partner to coordinate the relationships between IT Release Manager, IT staff and the Business User/Process Owner to facilitate the successful release to production environment for enterprise reporting and analysis applications.







**Key Responsibilities:**







+ Contacting Change Managers to clarify Change Request details as necessary and verify resolutions



+ Coordinating with Business Managers and IT Managers through the release request approval workflow



+ Maintaining a working knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of various work groups in order to answer routing questions and coordinate approvals



+ Expected to coordinate the Change/Release process with the IT Release manager, the Business Managers, Change Managers and act as a liaison to ensure that users follow established processes



+ Demonstrate sufficient IT technical knowledge to provide advice and guidance to customers and technical staff.



+ Following up with Business Users on open Change Requests to document missing information from CR Forms, BRDs etc. and verify resolutions.



+ Interpreting Change Requests to match change request classifications defined in the Change Management Process Guidelines as related to Release Management Process



+ Able to suggest/guide modifications to the change process and document adherence to the process



+ Communicating Release Request go/no go analysis, Release dates and updates to Business Users



+ Expected to lead Release Management meetings utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint, *Service Now Reports (*Based on MetLife _Future State_ ), and any visualization software.



+ Running reports, maintaining data dashboards.



+ Update and maintain a Knowledge Management database as Change Request moves through Intake, Build, Test and Release.



+ Help adoption of Change Management processes by being able to explain not only the process guidelines but also the underlying importance and reasoning for the process in order to assist others in complying with it.







**Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:**







+ BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, MIS, or other related field is highly desired. Masters/MBA a plus



+ PMP, ITIL Foundation certifications are highly desired.



+ Industry experience with large multi-national insurance operations is preferred



+ Must demonstrate a history of successful communications with customers and technical staff and experience with multiple ticketing systems, work flow management processes from a support function perspective



+ Proficiency with use of Service Now preferred



+ Must have basic data analysis, visualization skills utilizing industry standard tools



+ Must demonstrate sufficient technical knowledge to provide advice and guidance to Business Users



+ Must be proactive and able to work with minimal supervision across various levels of management



+ Must have excellent customer service skills, interacting with end customers and frequently with technology leadership.



+ Has knowledge and experience necessary to apply logical precedent to handle one-off and unusual situations.

+ Demonstrate sufficient technical knowledge to provide advice and guidance to Business Users



+ Excellent customer service skills, interacting with end customers and frequently with technology leadership.
