Abbott Point of Care develops, manufactures and markets critical medical diagnostic and data management products for rapid blood analysis. Position Overview

Abbott Point of Care (APOC) has a new opening for Regional Key Account Manager (West Coast). This position will be responsible for strategic customer relationships primarily focused on retention, expansion, and net new customer sales. Establishes and builds senior-level relationships and leverages them in driving new profitable sales and expanding utilization in current accounts. Understands and assesses customer's business issues and objectives and presents innovative APOC solutions. Responsible for leading an internal team without direct authority and for overall account management.

Location

Qualified candidates must currently reside within the State of California or reside in the metropolitan areas of Phoenix, AZ, Las Vegas, NV, or Salt Lake City, UT. Relocation assistance is not authorized for this position.

Position Responsibilities

• Responsible for driving profitable revenue and opportunities within strategic accounts by initiating, developing and/or delivering unique solutions that result in improved customer and/or patient outcomes.
• Investigate and understand the strategic account and their business environment including but not limited to: Goals, objectives, strategies and competitive situations and potential regulatory impact.
• Identify industry trends and changing market regulations and their potential impact on strategic accounts.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of customer decision makers and influencers
• Build and preserve customer relationships to leverage in driving new sales as well as protecting base business.
• Understand, analyze and accurately interpret key financial performance indicators for strategic accounts and how APOC solution options may impact targeted financial objectives.
• Coordinate appropriate resources to execute the strategic account plan including but not limited to assigning roles, expectations, responsibilities and timelines.
• Engage members of the team through ongoing communication, tactical planning and execution.
• Understand and comply with applicable EHS policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
• Must be willing to travel 50% within their assigned territory.

  Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Typically has a minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience, of which 1-3 years should be sales experience selling to executive level decision-makers, to execute the duties and responsibilities of the position.
