**Job Description:**


Siemens Industry is looking for a Quality Manager for their Spartanburg, SC plant. The Quality Manager is accountable for the strategic and operational performance of the Quality department for our Low Voltage site at Spartanburg, SC. This position ensures the successful delivery of business strategy and operational goals to exceed customer expectations for product quality, customer service, engineering quality, cost and delivery, while facilitating continuous improvement and achieving commercial success. The position reports to the Plant Manager of the location with an indirect reporting line to the Director of Central Quality. The Manager will be lead the quality team of around 10 people and ensure the efficient and effective day to day running of the department.


Lead the Quality function including Supplier Quality, In-Process Quality, Product Testing and Final Inspection. Identify and develop the Quality team structure.

Supports the nonproductive departments to understand and mitigate the cost of quality in areas like master data, risk management and mitigation, inventory accuracy, engineering quality and world class customer service.

Ensure that quality strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of cost, quality and delivery targets.

Provide department leadership which supports strategic initiatives.

Ensure customer quality issues and non-conformances are resolved in a timely manner taking the lead for the mitigation actions with other functions in the organization such as Manufacturing, Engineering, Marketing, and Procurement.

Drives the implementation of corrective actions per the 8D methodology. Also, improves the process by implementing control plans, poka yoke, audits and trainings as needed.

Responsible for the implementation, development, and sustainability of the following standards: ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, and the OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

Responsible for the implementation and deployment of the business continuity plan.

Identify and pro-actively lead continuous improvement actions to prevent non-conformances working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure strong communication with other functions in the organization; facilitate exchange of information in order to implement change and improvements regarding quality.

Establish Quality Performance data and Key Performance Indicators; report on Quality activities on a regular basis to the Management team.

Leads the Starpower initiative at the site.

Responsible for the implementation and coordination of quality activities and projects as directed from Siemens Central Quality Department.

Responsible as the backup representative of the Grand Prairie Environmental/Health and Safety program

**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**

1. 5+ years quality management experience in a manufacturing environment.

2. Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering)

3. Proven leadership/team management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development.

4. Experience with PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans and Process Maps.

5. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

6. Impeccable communication, presentation, interpersonal and influencing skills.

7. Hands-on approach, with a can do attitude.

8. Ability to travel up to 20%.

**Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**

1. Experience in Electrical Distribution business or similar industries in energy business.

2. Six-Sigma black belt.

3. Lean Manufacturing experience.

4. ASQ certification.

5. Experience with ISO 9000, 14000 and 18000.
