**Job Description:**







**Position Overview**







Responsible Weld Coordinator coordinates all aspects of the weld requirements to provide qualified weld definitions for all operational areas for all types of welding.







**Responsibilities**







+ Overall responsibility - what will the person have to accomplish in this role



+ Details of very specific job tasks and functions



+ Work with Engineering to understand and ensure all weld requirements are achievable



+ Use deep knowledge of welding process to define weld parameters



+ Create Weld Process Specifications



+ Define and conduct Weld Process Qualification Records



+ Deep knowledge of AWS standards and requirements including AWS D1.1, D1.3, D1.6 and 5.17



+ Experience and exposure EN 15085 a plus



+ AWS Certified Weld Inspector a plus







**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**







+ Four year technical degree



+ 2 years industry experience



+ Detailed experience with carbon steel, stainless steel welding practices

**Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**







+ AWS Certified weld inspector preferred



+ International weld technologist or engineer a plus
