**Job Description:**


Siemens Industry is looking for a Quality Engineer for their Grand Prairie, TX location. This person will be responsible for planning and leading internal audits and obtaining and analyzing key performance indicators. They will also be responsible for reporting and resolving non conformances related to fabrication and other departments, performing/facilitating root cause analysis, and trending data in support of problem solving. They will lead manufacturing standardization projects related to improving product quality. This person will report to the Manufacturing Manager and have no direct reports.


Reviewing engineering drawings to define quality plans for product manufacture

Preparing data for customer submission and ensuring content is correct

Developing and training personnel on workmanship standards

Developing and administrating QA systems databases and training individuals in support thereof

Identifying needs and proposing recommendations to improve quality, efficiency, productivity, cycle time and customer satisfaction

Inspiring/motivating a team to achieve project goals

Performing a full range of standard work for the professional field

Identifying and resolving most complex problems by applying problem solving skills

Escalating complex, unusual problems to appropriate personnel


Bachelors degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Electrical or Quality Engineering preferred

3-5 years experience as a Quality Engineer in a Manufacturing environment

Demonstrates a broad knowledge of complex assignments

Familiar with ISO and OHSAS standards

Experienced with and comfortable training others

Ability to maintain all required document trails per applicable program

Comfortable initiating and follows through with non-conformance reporting

Proven track record in establishing documentation/procedures

Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook

Six Sigma Black Belt or other Six Sigma training preferred
