Production Management Consultant

**Position:** Production Management Consultant (Cary, North Carolina) (multiple openings - 2)

**Duties:** Participate in high priority incident calls to drive root cause identification and restoration of service through level-3 support, as well as drive root cause analysis for complex issues with the ability to work across a dynamic set of databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Mongo DB), operating systems (Linux, AIX, Windows) and languages (Java, .Net, COBOL). Leverage a dynamic set of tools such as CA Wily, BMC Investigate and Patrol to diagnose performance issues, as well as communicate incidents, problems and escalations to internal and external partners. Analyze and elevate applications to the next level by defining operational standards, ensuring standards are followed and mentoring development teams to implement. Responsible for production management activities including the investigation and resolution of incidents, problems, service requests and working assigned queues. Evaluate production batch trails for performance issues and SLA compliance, as well as recommend unique/creative solutions across the enterprise by mining operational metrics to identify problem areas. Prioritize problems, incidents and service requests, leveraging business understanding, including performing break-fix coding and/or scripting and document break-fix code changes.

**Requirements:** Bachelor's (or higher) in Computer Science or Information Systems (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience participating in high priority incidents and driving root cause identification and restoration of service using application and business knowledge to resolve incidents, including support for application outages and batch issues. Must possess the following: five (5) years of experience driving root cause analysis for complex issues across Java, .Net or COBOL using CA Wily, BMC Investigate, BMC Patrol, AppDynamics, DynaTrace or Splunk to identify code issues, including advanced development and debugging/troubleshooting; three (3) years of experience performing basic operations within application framework management console, including locating the platform logging system and outputs, within WebSphere, IIS/.Net and HTTP; five (5) years of experience performing basic filesystem and networking operations, including performing batch/automation scripting, within Linux, AIS and Windows environments; and two (2) years of experience diagnosing performance issues and identifying performance trends and outages using CA Wily, BMC Investigate, BMC Patrol, AppDynamics, DynaTrace and Splunk.
