**Job Description:**


This role will own the product life-cycle management & support the business development for Siemens single family metering solutions (Talon Meters and Siemens Meter Combinations). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in the power distribution industry working in the residential segment with some focus on single family applications. The candidate will be responsible for managing all product development, business development, and product road-maps. This position will also be responsible for sales, market share, and margin for each of the product lines. Candidates should be very comfortable travelling, presenting technical features in front of customers, and have a strong motivation to win/succeed in this segment. Candidates with both a business & engineering education are preferred.

The candidate must have advanced knowledge of business functions including manufacturing, electrical design, product development, and engineering associated with the low voltage electrical apparatus market. The candidate must also possess demonstrated ability to establish cooperation across multiple work groups for a common cause, lead a team of colleagues on specific projects, communicate effectively, and create detailed product road-map plans to help guide the present and future direction of the residential business. EM functions to drive value into the market; must have demonstrated ability to drive cooperation and integration with the business unit and the sales force. The candidate will be expected to have substantial experience with circuit protection and power distribution apparatus /infrastructure. The candidate must be intimately familiar with technological trends, market requirements, and customer requirements in the residential market while also recognizing market and competitive product trends.

**General Requirements:**

Guides the development of business plans and product introduction plans on a regional North American basis. Guides/organizes the cross- functional activities related to training, documentation, tools, sales, marketing, service, logistics/ manufacturing. Guides the creation of pricing structures and price positions for products within area of responsibility, including ROI impact. Provides input into the requirements for the development of new products, enhancing existing products, or product lines. Provides technical application assistance. Guides the evaluation and monitoring of product/solution throughout all stages of Quality Cycle (proposal, definition, build, validation, production, end of enhancements, end of availability, and end of support).

**Required Skills:**

- Bachelors Degree Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred)

- Electrical knowledge; technical understanding /ability

- Understanding of UL/NEMA/IEC Standards

- Advanced knowledge of the electrical distribution sales channel along with good communication skills

- Microsoft Access or Excel (proficiency)

- SAP Knowledge (general use experience)

- Knowledge of how load centers, meter combos, meter sockets and group metering are manufactured

- Must be available to travel within North America and Mexico

- Technical Support, Customer Service or Pricing experience (preferred)

**Additional Knowledge and Experience:**

Demonstrates and applies comprehensive knowledge of field of specialization to the successful completion of complex strategies. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. Demonstrates significant knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues. Preferred 5 years or greater of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree may be substituted for experience, where applicable.

Working with the EM LP USA construction sales team as well as our 3rd party residential products manufactures and suppliers. Also collaborate with global procurement to optimize make vs. buy decisions to ensure that the product is delivered to the customer at the correct cost position (ensuring the portfolios overall profit targets).
