**Role Value Proposition:**







The Multimedia Support Specialist is primarily responsible for leading and developing the live event capability for the business, ensuring complete delivery of all technical aspects of executive live event services and having the daily responsibility for the technical operations of executive town hall events including; lighting, camera, graphics, sound, web streaming, set design & construction, and coordinating necessary maintenance. The Multimedia Support Specialist will provide daily people management and task assignment for a team of support consultants. The Multimedia Operations team is responsible for ensuring uptime related to four platforms Conference Room Technology, Digital Signage Technology, Corporate Television Distribution, and Conference Support Resource Reservation. Finally, the Multimedia Support Specialist is the single point of contact for all technical and business escalations for the multimedia infrastructure at the 200 Park Ave site.







**Key Responsibilities:**







+ Collaborate with all of the various lines of business to help create and execute seamless productions to MetLifes employees worldwide.



+ Manage the contractors who make up the Multimedia Operations team in the NY facility



+ Manage on-call rental and staging vendors for all mid and large scale productions both in the NY Headquarters and in outside venues in the NY area



+ Provide troubleshooting and technical expertise as required.



+ Remain current on developments in both event production and unified communications (technologies, products, practices and trends)



+ Develop, document, and manage the policies and procedures of the NY Multimedia Operations team.



+ Coordinate with internal partners such as Global Communications, Global Event Management, and Corporate Communications to develop new and innovative ways of leveraging multimedia technology to deliver high impact meetings and events



+ Prepare performance and status reports



+ Continually evaluate new and emerging multimedia technology to benefit the overall enterprise and/or specific business units.







**Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:**







**Required Qualifications**







+ 10-15 years of progressive AV/multimedia industry/entertainment experience supporting large productions in an enterprise environment with a focus on Event Management. Must have extensive experience in planning, procuring, scheduling, setting up and striking down of equipment, coordinating with non-technical trades, event broadcasting/recording and post production.



+ 5 + years of managing an AV/Multimedia staff



+ Advanced knowledge of Cisco video conferencing solutions, Biamp audio DSP, Crestron control systems, and RMG Networks digital signage, Live Events technology and theory, Analog Way video switching, Soundcraft digital audio mixers, and Kaltura/Haivision video streaming.



+ Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.







**Preferred Qualifications**







+ Protocol level understanding of AV/multimedia technologies such as HDMI, Dante, AVB, H.264, H.323, & SIP



+ Industry certifications such as InfoComm CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, Crestron Certified Programmer, Biamp Tesira, Live Event Management/Show Calling, DMC-D, DMC-E, Cisco CCNA, CCNP



+ Bachelors degree in related field
