**Role Value Proposition:**







The Property and Casualty Research Team, a unit in the Countrywide Product Management Organization, is seeking to fill our Predictive Modeling Specialist position to analyze internal and external data and research the impact on property and casualty insurance claims and losses. You will present the results of research to management and influence decision making. Additionally, this individual will continuously search for new ideas, tools and methods to apply to their work, and seek opportunities to share their knowledge with others.







**Key Responsibilities:**







+ Analyze internal and external data to identify profit opportunities and challenges.



+ Perform the creation and delivery of the data assets required to implement new programs and initiatives.



+ Maintain various data assets to keep existing programs and initiatives up to date.



+ Build predictive models for business application.



+ Consult with other departments to assist them in their research and analysis projects.







**Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:**







Required:







+ Proficiency in data mining and predictive modeling, such as regression, decision tree, clustering, or neural network.



+ Proficiency with data mining and modeling tools, such as SPSS modeler, Emblem, SAS, or RStudio.



+ Ability to analyze data and develop solutions both independently and as part of a team.



+ Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects in a timely manner.



+ Strong written and oral communication skills with internal and external customers.







Preferred:







+ Bachelor degree with 3+ years of experience in an analytics position is preferred. Master degree with qualitative analysis training (statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, or computer science preferred) and 1+ years of experience in an analytics position or a Doctoral degree with significant qualitative research experience is highly desired.







+ Experience in property & casualty insurance industry.



+ Experience with programming, such as Python, VBA, or SQL.
