**Siemens Intelligent Traffic Solutions**

Reliable network communications are a critical necessity for monitoring and managing increasingly complex transportation infrastructures. Knowing what is happening and where, from tracking buses and trains on their routes, to locating and addressing stalled vehicles, to connecting drivers with important information about road and traffic conditions effective traffic management demands intelligent transportation systems. We are looking to grow our presence in the state. Siemens is also the market leader in connect vehicle (V2i) solutions and will be making a significant investment in the state of Florida with these solutions.

**Position Overview**

Siemens ITS is seeking to hire a Head of Sales & Services, Intelligent Traffic Solutions (ITS). In this new strategic role, you will have responsibility for the strategy, business development, sales growth, and the management of all sales and services for all ITS activity in the State of Florida. All personnel supporting these activities will report directly to you. Personnel includeall sales managers and sales technical engineers supporting Siemens complete ITS portfolio. This position reports directly to the Head of Sales; ITS

You must have in-depth knowledge of the state of Florida ITS market - including key customer relationships at major cities, counties, and FDoT. Also, you will maintain an in depth knowledge of market conditions and competitors activities to develop sales plans that achieve or exceed sales goals. A strong understanding of Siemens ITS solutions (controller HW, SEPAC, TMS, V2i, and adaptive solutions) is preferred.

**Must be located in Florida.**

**Responsibilities -** Here, you will implement an account development plan that optimizes revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction and loyalty. You will track ongoing business results vs. the plans established goals and execute corrective action when needed. Initiates / builds / maintains long-term relationships with appropriate account decision makers and participate and lead client presentations - articulating the value proposition of product/solution /service offerings.

+ Ensures the implementation of Sales strategy and sets the sales targets for the assigned sales organization.

+ Develops and propose sales budgets and growth forecasts, aligned with the sales strategy of the unit(s).

+ Manages completion of budgets and regular sales reporting.

+ Defines and allocates resources.

+ Cooperates with Marketing, Product Management and Project Management in matters of strategic and tactical product and service positioning.

+ Initiates and contributes to planning of customer related product development measures or the setup of customer related projects.

+ Support strategic key customers' business development.

+ Prepare and present technical presentations for customers to explain the benefits of Siemens ITS solutions.

+ Assures technical sales leadership in territory for entire team on controller HW, SEPAC, TMS, and adaptive solutions including generation and review of requirements and design documents.

+ Support proposal responses by reviewing RFP requirements, designing and describing technical solutions, and other written documentation as necessary to support proposal generation efforts.

+ Takes a leadership position with Florida ITE, and all key customers.

+ Keep up to date with the industry and gather market and competitor intelligence in the area of ITS solutions.

+ Present at regional and conferences on Siemens ITS technology and solutions.

+ Provide specialized technical training and education

**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**

+ BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA preferred. Certification may be required in some areas.

+ Demonstrates knowledge in field of specialization or multiple disciplines to the successful completion of complex assignments. Successfully serves as point of contact of technical knowledge for area of expertise.

+ Understanding of traffic controller HW, SEPAC, TMS, and adaptive solutions.

+ Able to translate user requirements into effective system designs using appropriate ITS technology.

+ Knowledgeable in Florida ITS marketplace and industry standards.

+ Excellent problem solving skills and able to develop new and innovative ideas / solutions.

+ Experience in Business and commercial development.

+ Flexibility to manage diverse workload.

+ Ability to work both as part of a sophisticated multi-disciplinary team as well as possessing the ability to work independently to solve problems.

+ Member of relevant professional institutions.

+ Willing to travel within state of Florida ~50%
