**Job Description:**

**Position Overview:**

The consulting side of the Digital Grid Unit (PTI) is seeking an experienced, industry-known professional with a proven track record who will be responsible for leading the implementation and delivery of leading edge power system analytics in the Power System Distribution arena with Distribution Energy Resources integration and engineering. This position will drive regional business unit growth in order to achieve corporate targets, and will be responsible for consulting projects and portfolio activities. This position requires great technical management and execution leadership, as well as admirable people skills, while balancing bottom line objectives.

This position is integral to the Siemens PTI Management team headquartered in Schenectady, NY, and will require travel primarily in US, however other international travel may be required, subject to regional client demands. Additional commitments will be Business Development support for existing and new client development in order to achieve corporate growth targets. The location for this position will be in Houston, TX

This position is responsible for short, mid- to long-term planning studies using different power simulation tools. Database post processing analysis experience is required to meet customer expectations. Additional responsibilities include developing tools and processes to improve studies and post-processing capabilities.

**Key responsibilities:**

+ Profit and loss responsibility of Distribution Power System Studies portfolio of services, as per annual business targets

+ Independently manage fast-paced consulting projects ranging from T&D master planning development, Microgrids studies, renewable integration studies and assessments of distributed generation, distribution and transmission systems.

+ Mentor new consultants in the area of T&D planning with renewable integration focus.

+ Manage and Interact with customer to understand a study requirements,

+ Develop system models to perform requested studies.

+ Lead steady state, short circuit, transient stability, protection coordination studies in transmission, distribution systems and MicroGrids.

+ Formulate and execute a 3 year business plan and drive new portfolio development for DG integration study market services

+ Support the Business Development team in formulating and executing winning strategies, including promoting consulting services **Experience:**

+ Bachelors or advanced degree in related domain, with a combination of technical and business experience in the power system Sector. Certification may be required in some areas.

+ Minimum of 15 + years of successful power system, engineering and/or consulting experience

+ Demonstrated growth in transmission and distribution planning, engineering and/or consulting leadership over career

+ Proven track record of leadership performance

+ 10 years of technical leadership experience within Energy Sector

+ Strong knowledge of power system simulation software tools, such as PSSE (required) , PSSSINCAL (required), CymDist (desired) and Synergi (desired) and others required.

+ Knowledge of electric power transmission and distribution system: planning, designing, and operating criteria are also required for the position.

+ Experience conducting reliability improvement, distributed generation integration, renewable interconnection studies is a must.

+ Active Member of IEEE or equivalent.

+ Experience working within a large matrix organization.

+ Strong people skills and engaging presentation and written communications skills

+ Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
