**Job Description:**







_We are seeking a highly experienced_ **_Head of Business/Operational Excellence_** _to join our Management team at our Flanders, New Jersey facility._ _This is a pivotal role that will significantly contribute to the success of the sites growth by leading our constant drive towards a World Class environment and Continuous Improvement culture._







_The Flanders facility has undergone significant expansion in the last 24 months. This is in preparation for the manufacture of legacy products being transferred from other Siemens facilities and to prepare for the manufacture of our new product developments that are approaching volume manufacture._ _This is an exciting time to join the organization because the incumbent will play a crucial role in constructing the processes to support the growth and build a world class team of continuous improvement professionals that can help the facility mature and embrace a lean culture._







_The individual will develop the business operational excellence strategy for the site and will drive the philosophy throughout the business._ _This will include developing goals and targets that will be included in site-wide and employee performance goals. The candidate will have full responsibility for the sites productivity performance against corporate goals; this will involve cross-site coordination through matrix peer functions as well as supporting the senior global management Continuous Improvement teams. The incumbent will drive improvement throughout the site utilizing Siemens lean tools and methodology (examples: PDCA, A3, 6 Sigma, Value Stream mapping, Hoshin Kanri, Kaizen, SPC, R and R, Process capability). They will develop and drive KPI metrics and demonstrate improvements against target on a year on year basis. They will be a senior member of the site management team and help guide the site with Operational excellence as the site continues to expand. Importantly, they will have a vision of where the business needs to aim to achieve Business Excellence, Continuous improvement and be able to develop a culture of World Class production systems._







_The successful applicant will possess:_







- _Prior experience (+5 years) of leadership within a business excellence and continuous improvement position._







- _Minimum of 5 years experience of working within a regulated, hardware medical manufacturing environment._







- _Strong background within Quality Management or Manufacturing Operations._







- _A solid appreciation of working within a healthcare regulated environment (Auditing and quality management systems are highly desirable)._







- _Qualification in Lean 6 Sigma (Master BB)._







- _A track record of being able to develop and grow a continuous improvement culture within the medical industry._







- _Ability to own and drive lean projects and take ownership for related productivity._







- _A passion for key performance metrics, using them to communicate status and demonstrate improvements._







- _Team skills and be able to collaboratively work with peers and other site functions._







- _A Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Engineering of Manufacturing._







- _Good project coordinator skills and be prepared to take a lead role in project teams._







- _Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Connecting with all levels of the business_







- _The ability to develop a culture of World Class lean principles._







- _Thorough knowledge of the lean tools and demonstrable track record of successful implementation._







- _Ability to organize and manage the activities of others._







- _Capable of operating and liaison at all levels including managerial, project and technical._







- _Proven management skills, people skills and organizational development._
