**Job Description:**







**Position Overview**







Medium Voltage Field Service Technician, responsible for performing troubleshooting, repairs to include warranty work, and customer technical assistance in installation and operation of MV products.







Please include the following:







+ Candidate will successfully travel up to 100% of the time to execute the work detailed in the customer cases and associated field service events.



+ Candidate must be able to work with customers in a professional manner, even in situations where the customer may under significant pressure to resolve the issues at hand.



+ Position reports to the field service manager within the EM MS Operations Customer Service team.







**Responsibilities**

+ Overall responsibility Travel to customer sites or Siemens locations to successfully execute the work scope in the calendar events, associated with customer cases in a timely manner.



+ Provide detailed professional written field service reports within 48 hours of each event.



+ Assure that work time is successful reported in Salesforce.com for each customer event.



+ Work scope will contain electrical, mechanical, and testing activities.







**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**







In this section, please outline exactly what knowledge/skills, education, and experiences are required to be considered for this position. All of these may not be applicable to each position.







+ Minimum Associates degree or equivalent experience with electrical distribution equipment, preferably in the medium voltage range.



+ Minimum 2 years hands on experience working with electrical distribution equipment or comparable education.



+ Up to 100% travel



+ Must be able to communicate in a professional manner verbally and in writing with customers and Siemens personnel. Must have at minimum basic computing skills (Office, drawing interpretation, web based program use..)







**Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**







In this section, please outline exactly what knowledge/skills, education, and experiences are preferred but NOT required to be considered for this position.







+ Specific hands on experience with MV Switchgear, MV Controls, and MV Circuit Breakers preferred



+ 2 years or more field service, MV manufacturing role, or MV engineering role preferred



+ International travel experience a plus
